That's too bad, when the league came around it was kind of like this too. It would be nice if you could stay awhile, but I can see you've got other things going on in your life.

Now if only cobalt, crx, moon, silence, and the others would return from their mysterious absences too...

well moon is running the ACO league, silence has his karate school, cobalt doesn't like the designs here and I'm not sure about CRX, I'm guessing frustration looking for a good design.

I've never gotten into a MMORPG, they always lose the attraction for me 10-20 levels in.

Well, I guess this can be a "vets'" tourney...seeing that only the "oldies" plan to paritcipate.

But I'm perfectly fine with that; less battles for me. Unless you guys want me to stretch it to three AC's per person just for the hell of it? lol. If someone motions for that, with a good explanation, and then someone else seconds it, then it's three per person.

heh...I guess three per architect IS really pushing it. But anyway, good to see Axel possibly in action.

I'm estimating that we'll get only around ten AC's.

And about MMORPG's...
One reason why I've never picked up an MMORPG is that I don't want to become a slave of a game. It always seems to me that one HAS to devote a MASSIVE chunk of his/her life to a game like that to get some satisfaction out of it (I'm not saying you have to be playing many hours per day; I'm just referring to the grand total). And the scariest thing is, there's no end to games like those. I don't think screens pop up and say "congrats, you have owned this game so much that you can stop playing and take a breather" after the first hundred hours.

Personally I find that the MHFers have become a group of their own, alienating the rest of us 'normal' members .

There really isn't much incentive with the league at a standstill and no new, *innovative* designs coming in.

Well, I think that the only "innovative" thing that's sprouted was rainmaker's "uber" AI, but since he hasn't been sharing it with us like a good boy should (jk jk), I guess we'll have to keep digging.

At least I will. I love games like AC:FF, and even more so because i can compete with others. But yes...the "others" are diminishing in number.

About the "innovations", (LAMO) what's the point? There aren't any audience and besides, there are many great AIs/ACs designers here, some of them are just a little shy (COME OUT!). And the league is dead, it's pointless posting mods or any new ACs at all.

It's not like all of us can get into MHF @_@. What you're assuming is that everyone here could join, or want to join.

Really, I didn't intend to make this an argument... just observing that the board has lost it's purpose. If people collectively gain the mentality that "There's no point", then the league really will stay dead. Then there's notably a lack of incentive to make new builds or innovate.

Unless that is what you guys want.

I do realize it also has to do with the mods and all but they'll probably be busy for at least til school ends. I did my league battles even though better time could have been spent studying..

hm...all this talk is making me sad.

I think the only thing that this board can sustain at this point are tourney's.

And the "audience" that rainmaker was referring to is also a good point, because we're lacking that as well. But eh, I think that if we stick around long enough, SOMETHING will bring us close together again (competition-wise). And MHF doesn't seem to be "it" at this point, especially since the US version lacks the online support.

But, since there are still AC boards out there that're more "active," I guess we can rush them as a team and participate in the tourney's there to "keep the spirit alive". Personally, I'm very surprised by the outcomes of the AC Garage FF tournament, because I thought that many of our AC's would advance with little trouble, especially Croc and Rook. Maybe we'll have to go on long losing streaks to become addicts of the game again, or abandon it altogether.

Edit: Well...if the garage people are using LX's and Hohoshi's, I won't be as surprised.

Yeah, I saw the cores, I registered as well, but somehow, I never got a confirmation. So I didn't enter anything. I sure would love to face some more opponents, but to be honest, I am just not that motivated to compete anymore. What's the point?

I rather do wi-fi, which I haven't done in like a month now >>> due to MHF and the destruction (stress) that the last wi-fi tourany cause.
