Go with your most strong feelings.

heh, heck I might even make a floater.
I have strong feelings to make experimental instead of serious designs, so I guess I'll do that.
Thanks, wise master.

Interesting thought... *Begins to scribble on blank whiteboard* I've scrapped a few designs, and also put down MHF for a while. Hopefully I can pull something together by this Friday... unlike last tourney's disaster .

I am more of an experimental AC - architect then a serious touranment one too. Besides that I am having a hard time putting down MHF, seriously -- very hard to put down.
Magic topic:
I have an undead deck, Nantuko deck, Worldgorger dragon deck (just for show of course) and a discard deck... the list goes on and on...

I plan to make something at least a little interesting, I rarely ever design seriously to win

Gotta compliment you and Croc. Very stylish and strong.
I usually design to win, but for this one, since there's only the fixed AI, I wanna go crazy with the parts.

well...30th is the deadline, and Tailsnake and Dark haven't submitted anything yet....and we can normally expect them to want to join a tourney. I guess I'm mostly waiting for them. As well as Sinner, cobalt, and rainmaker...and maybe even gasu and bigjon, to submit at least one design.
Sorry carnage, and everyone else, for making you wait.

Thank you guys,
in other news...
I just got a call....I got a job, 8 hours a day (most likely 8AM to 5PM), 5 days a week, and it's an all-summer committment.
Without me speaking about the pay, should I even accept it? My first thought is, it's gunna consume my entire summer vacation.

I wouldn't accept it... that kind of job in the summer would burn me out, I think.
But it all depends... if you enjoy it or need the pay then go for it...

What do you need the money for?

First off, I never asked for the job (nor do I need the money, because I'm fine without it). Since I live off public housing, I received a letter from SF Public Housing Authority asking me if I want a summer job (that's it, quite vague, no details). My parents saw the letter first, so they immediately ordered me to reply with a huge "YES" and send it back.
Then an interview was scheduled, and I said what the heck, maybe a job would be good for me (never had a paying job before). I thought that I would only be working part time, but after the interview, I was told that I would have to work a required 8 hours a day...the black lady told me it's an 8 to 5 job (that's 9 hours, so I'm assuming I get an hour lunch). Only today was I told that I would get 10 bucks an hour.
I've never had a job, so I really don't know if I should be doing an 8 or 9 to 5 all summer. It'd probably burn me out more than it would Dark, heh. Right now, my biggest obstacle is my parents, who's more enthusiastic about my job than I am.

Well since you've never had a paying job I can understand why your parents would be enthusiastic; it could be good experience to put on your resume.
But, it's still a pretty big commitment. I wouldn't go through with it until you're sure you can handle it and want to do it; maybe you could some more details on what it's all about.
My advice would be don't bite off more than you can chew if the job is going to burn you out. There could be other opportunities...

that's $3200 by the end of the summer, I would personally go with it because I'd want the money but it you're this uncertain make sure you tell your parents about your worries. If you take it and you find it too difficult/draining you can always quit.

i'd take the job due to the pay, but what kind of labor are you going to do? if you don't like the idea of it then don't do it. i got a job at the local cracker barrel as a dish washer. paying 7 dollars an hour. SO GLAMORIOUS!

lol...thanks for all the input and advice, guys.
I'm probably going to just take it and see if I can handle it. Quitting is definitely an available option, so I'll do that if I feel that I gotta bail. There's also tax on the income here in SF (I'm almost certain), so I would be making less than 3200, but still, yes it is an attractive sum (for college, especially).
Well, off to basketball, and thanks shear, you're entering a design.

I used to have this one Magic card (from a booster that I got as a secret santa gift..whoever that guy was) that I thought looked cool so I stuck it to my binder and people started asking me if I could trade it. I don't know where it is anymore, but that's about it between Magic and I.
