It's that time again my friends....start discussing what you want to do for the next tournament!!!

IMO, i want to do another Biped tourney that requires the use of a certain part, such as PERYTON R Arm or something, i think it might be fun

Regardless, as I said before, I want "no heavy weapons". Ban all the nades. Ban bazookas. Ban karasawa/spirit/ogre.

Anything that does a lot of damage, not necessarily by the in-game definition. Heck, maybe we could go so far as ban shotguns and missiles.... that way everyone has to use MGs, shields, rifles, etc....

Of course, then there might have to be a tank ban as well.

dude, take a look at almost all the league ACs and tourney ACs, barely any of them are above rank C, and maybe one or two that are rank A

Lol... actually I think it's vice versa. There are a fair number of B and A ranks. I know mine are. Mostly Bs... I credit Tailsnake to saying they are the most balanced. A's are less common but still there.

mmm....I'm still gonna go with the idea of the AC Ratings Tourney...where we will somehow have to get letter grades for each of an AC's six ratings, whether through a random process, or by votes....(I'm afraid of everyone voting for good FP and good Cooling....because then there's no challenge, unless Mobility's at S and defense is at...D lol). Every AC has to have the final chosen values, and that's about it. Same Hohoshi/LX ban...unless ECM gets an S...then maybe the Hohoshi can be allowed.

I may be coming up with good ideas...but I'm gunna start feeling terrible if only my ideas get through. Perhaps we SHOULD try something simpler like a weapon arms tourney or an overall S-rank tourney (I think that's awesome...because it's HARD to make a non hover+dual machine gun AC to get to S...or am I wrong?).

I'm also thirsty for another no-limits tourney though; it'll bring back the free competitive spirits of all of us (I think, and I hope), since there are no restrictions.

or we can try something like the lightweight tourney, i totally screwed up my AC's AI in that one and it cost me big time, so i sorta wanna get another pop at that target

also, i think a cool idea might be to have something like a randomized part tourney

we could pick three or 4 slots of parts(such as R arm, Core, Head, Generator) and then assign a number per part(for each catogory, not all total parts) and then randomize the numbers on that program i used before, and whatever number is at the beginning of the list, everyone has to use that part that was assigned to that number

not their whole AC, only like...3-4 parts, and they wouldnt be like combined systems of parts either(sx. Head,Core,Legs,Arms or something)

and also, some catagories of parts would be left out(such as legs and extensions) because you may end up with hover legs and like...Skylla Back part and a huge core or something

and also, it would generally eliminate any oppurtunity to say "oh well he used BP, thats why he won!" because everyone would have a BP on their AC

also, it would enable basicly a no limits tourney because the LX/Hohshi/BP might be one of the randomized parts and then theres no reason anyone would be rigged, because everyone would have the part(but if there are no back parts/arms weps/insides due to be randomized then the bans would be implemented of course)

mm...I see what you mean. All LX tourney would be my dream, since I've never used it in the game before (as in..on any of my ACs), despite its "uberness." I sure know what it looks like, though, that huge-@$$ blast radius.

If an LX was one of the required parts for ACs to have...then man. Better rename it the Quickdraw Tourney.

Well, I don't wanna create the poll...

We have a few ideas in already, some solid ones (especially MINE...>.>).
So far, there is:

Bipeds only + a chosen weapon
No heavy weapons/tanks
Overall C-rank
Overall S-rank
Randomized Parts
Jacques' crazy rank tourney
No Limits
Lightweight #2 (if it hasn't been previously stated - I think it's a good idea for us to do it again, now with more people frequently visiting the board and thirsting for competition)

I think that's plenty for us to choose from.
