In the desert there is place that is spoken of only in legend. A place of such mystery that is has eveaded even the best of archeologists for years, that is until they came upon a man. A man who spoke the name "Tailsnake." Tailsnake had been a name of legend for years, no one alive still knew of it, yet this man, this commoner spoke it's name - the name of the hangar. Archeologists found him and took him into there care. One was finally brave enough to walk up to him and ask what the message of the hangar was, the man opened his mouth and said, "Fanfic Up, Feedback Wanted." as he finished uttering the last word he dropped to the floor. dead. Archeologists speant years trying to dechipher the meaning of these events but eventually all hope was lost and the name Tailsnake fell back into legend.

For a moment there I was a bit confused... thinking that the guy who died was TS.
Good intro Tailsnake. I find it a funny coincidence that the main character is named 'Jacques'.

Great job with the fanfic, Tailsnake. Even though it IS lengthy, it's got a lot of style and I already like seeing how the story is developing; 'looks like there'll be a lot more focus on parts analysis and battle descriptions. And yeah, I was a little bit *!* (Metal Gear Solid reference) when I saw Jacques. And guess what else, the initials of my actual name is also J.L.! Anyway, keep it up and I'll be waiting for the updates.
wow...the fanfic section is finally coming back to life, makes me want to put my own little story in there. I'll most likely get one in during summertime, and no sooner, and I think we all know why.

Anyway, I got an Essay and a presentation to finish tonigh, and another project that I have to do tommorow. I'll see if I can get the chapter up on Wednesday.
On a side note, I was planning out the chapters and I'll be needing a 3 new members to form a new team for Jacques in chapter 5 or 6 (depending on how long the contract Raven arc lasts). I'll take any applicants - but don't expect me to use everything you give.

That was a nice descriptive chapter. The way tactics are used is interesting; I was surprised that Jacque's AC was cut into pieces.
DeAngelo's characterization is also well done; we see him kind of panicking at the beginning but he seems a decent guy by the end of the chapter.
Good to see some drama kicking in, now we get to see Jacques (hopefully) prove himself.

Well I have a lot of backstory to cover so I'm doing something that I learned from Orson Scott Card's "Xenocide", "Children of the Mind" and "Sadow" series novels. I hope this'll be an interesting way to cover the history behind the main storyline. I should get to writing the actual chapter soon. This'll be the last mundane chapter before the story picks up a little.

Nice addition. Its a good change of pace to see Jacques going into a mission; I'd like to see how he does.
