When I was young I once heard that if, the two who stand at the top of the league had a battle the very earth would tremble at it's core. I never understood that saying until this day, the day when I finally got to see these beasts.
Tamer, the AC that once went by the name of Hayabusa and lost in the quad tournament. That event changed the path it would take in life, it spent time training and rebuilding it's body and came back with a new name and atatude for the league, it beat out all it's opponents and now sits on the second chair on the league ladder.
Cerberus, the AC made by the man who changed the game TWICE. The first was with the AC Omega, a tank that struck fear in the hearts of many and gained a level of noteriety unheard of in Armoured Core; it's downfall came with it's loss to hell in the first tournament and the banning of the LX in subsequent tournaments. The second was with this AC, Cerberus, the AC that made ECMs a stple part in league designs and now stands at the top of over 40 ACs as the number 1 league AC.
The two ACs walked into the arena equally ready for the battle that stood ahead of them. They had both been modified in preperation for this battle, thier architects stood at the side of the arena watching as thier giants waited for that familiar voice...
Ready... GO!
Both ACs took off Cerberus instantly launched an ECM, Tamer, who still stood on the other side of the furnace couldn't see it, but the familiar sparks emmiting from it's body told it everything it needed to know. The longer this battle lasted the worse it'd be for Tamer, it had to end it quickly, it had to open itself to it's enemy.
Cerberus stood on the other side, dancing it the air as it locked on to Tamer, it wasn't taking the battle seriously - There was no point, Tamer was an inferior AC. Then from the Corner on the Furnace Tamer launched out and sent an attack at Cerberus that it wasn't expecting.
Cerberus was stunned; the audacity of that AC to stike like that! It quickly regaind balance and tried to return fire but the stage it chose to give it an advantage was actually working against it, it's bullets hit a wall. Tamer was not the type of AC to give an opponent a chance to recover, after launching it's EO it was in the air again for a second strike. Cerberus had no chance to reload, it was pounced upon again, this time it's output was down - a deadly status.
Cerberus was shocked an the first shadows of fear began to crawl into it's mind but it shook them off, Tamer was wide open in front of it - this would be sweent. It fired taking off a god chunk of Tamer's AP. Tamer Replied taking off even more from Ceberus.
Cerberus no longer cared about anything but causing damage to Tamer, the beutiful dodging and ECM strategies that it had used in previous battles were nothing to it now - it just fired at anything that moved, anything that could be tamer. Tamer was on the run trying to get away from the barrage, then it saw an opening in Cerberus's iron assult and fired.
Cerberus was once again aflame, the fear that it had been trying to hold back flooded in, all logical thought was lost to it now as it saw Tamer approaching. It never had a chance against last shot. Tamer stood atop his exploding opponent, kicking it's lifeless body. Those who were watching the battle said they heard a scream of outmost pain as Cerberus exploded, a scream that filled the furnace...

Cerberus loses it's position as Rank 1 and forfeits it to Tamer.
