I BROKE MY PSP. *CRY

The analog stick was acting weird, it keep moving my character to the lower-right diagonal. Makes it very hard to fight a wyvern like YGG and Rathalos, b/c it happens quite often.

So I decided to open and get to the bottom of it (I have open it countless times already to do cleaning). I super-glued the analog stick button to the base, b/c it kept falling out. This previous action makes it super difficult to fix the analog stick, as I have to play with the whole face cover than just the small 1 inch square plastic that holds the analog stick. As I open it up, I saw that a circular spring have become loos, b/c I have loosen the tension that was holding it in place. I check the small circut board and found some liquid on it, looks like oil. I clean it.

Putting it together was a real headache, as the spring keeps jumping out of the small circular base of the stick. Finally, I got it in place and screw everything up again. I was surprised, and worried.

As I turn on MHF and start walking through the village, the character now walks upward and will not respond to any down command, except left and right.

Hmmm, I guess it's not officially broke, just mess up the circut board pads a little... but damn, I hate going back into that small work space. >_<

I would never take apart my psp, not even if a super hot girl came up to me and offered some ********* (I don't know what word I'm trying to censor out but I think you get the idea) in exchange. I think you should search up one of those analog stick modding pages and look at the photos closely. I don't have any links to offer, but it might be a good place to start.

Meh, I open them up all the time. PS1, PS2, PSP and probably the PS3 as well.

My PS2 have like 5 wires coming out of a hole I made on the top. They go to different places and appliances. But it's now left in the dust somewhere in the basement.

It would have been easy to test it and get it running correctly again, but b/c I super-glued the base to the stick button, I have to temper with the whole face cover, which makes it very difficult to get the timing of the spring to go into place correctly.

Hmmm, I think it's still the same, it's just upward now instead of lower-right diagonal.

My stick got stuck on the lower left side once. Since I got it off the net from a person and not a company I didn't have a way of returning/replacing it. So with nothing better to do (and being unable to take it apart) I pushed on it REALLY hard to pop it back into place. It did so with a extremely loud sounding CRACK.


It works now lol.

I can't play MHF anymore due to this unfontunate break down, so now, I'll get more time on ACFF b/c that's the only game that doesn't require use of the Analog stick.

Bad it broke down, good now I have more time on ACFF -- at least until the replacement part gets here anyway.
