I've decided that this poll will be the only one that will decide the theme of the next tourney, seeing the slow pace in which the votes will come in; I think you guys would want to start submitting designs and seeing battles instead of reading the same tally of votes everyday anyway.

Since bigjon has not responded to my question about his friend's Gamefan account and whether or not his friend plans to be an active participant, his vote will not count at this point, and so there are ONLY three, I repeat, THREE votes for the weapon arms/dual weapons theme. The poll will be locked when I get home today, and after that, we will start voting on the firepower limit itself (or I just might open a discussion, since the voting process seems to take weeks...). For now, I think that anywhere from 7000-9000 would be good (it would fit a BP bazooka or a Karasawa, plus room for another [weaker] weapon). Anywhere lower might be a bit harsh, but can be possible if enough people vote for it. As for the host of the tourney, I would like to volunteer to run it. BUT, if someone wants to raid my home and steal the torch (translation: volunteer to take over or help out), that is welcomed.

Thanks for volunteering, Dark. It would be great if you can help me do the semi-finals/final matches for photos and an overall more exciting description (heh...). Anyway, I guess I'll be handling all the early rounds. If you want more work, you can ask for it (lol I don't think so). Same for anyone else. Maybe I can split some first round matches with Atrum, because he said he would be willing to do it SOMEWHERE.

Anyway, no matter what the theme of the tourney is, I think that the maximum number of entries will continue to be 3, and part sharing will not be allowed. The regular Hohoshi and LX bans will be in effect. But, other than that, go wild with your desgns. I plan to be home a little after 5....so any strays have around 6 hours to log in and vote.

No problem, I'll give you a few battles so you can share the load with Atrum, Dark, and I. That would be more than enough, so I'd like to thank you guys in advance. Since this isn't a blader tourney, I expect many architects will be back in their groove. I'm pretty sure a deluge of AC entries (especially for the firepower limit tourney if it happens...because it's basically a no limits tourney focused on weapon combinations) will flood the thread, so the next tourney will be an exciting one. Even if dual weapon/weapon arms win, the same apply, since it's just another no limits scenario.

Well, no matter what tournament wins, you will be helping us do some battles on your PSP, and reporting them on the tourney thread that will be made after the winning theme has been decided. All of the entrants will be submitting their designs in the same fashion (with the AC creator), so you'll just take the matched designs (I'll match them up randomly and PM the matchups to whoever's helping me) and do the battles.

The format of your "report" will look something like this.

Stage: (set the option to "random" in the game) Leptas Arena
Grid 1: Rhino
Grid 2: Pig

(This will be the battle description, where you will try to describe the movements of the AC, any noticeable tactics, advantages, surprises, etc. etc. Just try to depict an action sequence - you can head over to previous tourney threads to get some examples.)

Time: (how long the match is, as shown after every battle) 1m 9sec
Grid 1 Remaining AP: 6529
Grid 2 Remaining AP: 0
Winner: Rhino

That's pretty much it. You think you're up for that?

i say we ought to have the fire-power limit set down so a BP would have to be by itself totally or not included at all, and then have a midweight-ish weight limit so no one makes a huge tank with so much AP no weapon combo can kill it, we'd see A LOT of combos then other than SAWA+HP or BP+HP or BP+Peryton

Well, I actually welcome such "troubles" or "nasty/bad combos," because all of us will have to deal with it.

If everyone wants to make a tank, then bring it on.

I don't want to discriminate against strong and popular weapons such as the sawa or BP, because then this would be the "discreet bans tourney," or the "weak weapons only tourney." Think about it, the 81G grenade launcher has less firepower than sawa or BP, even though it's a terrific weapon, but that does not mean that I have to lower the limit to that level.
Another thing is, I don't want to set the thing so low that we have to be scrambling for relatively weaker parts and not be able to use EO or inside weapons, again..it may support the "discreet weapon ban" sentiment that I'm not agreeing with at this point.
Again, the firepower limit will MOST likely be settled through a vote and/or a lengthy discussion, so your voice will be heard. Your points are very strong and I understand that such loopholes may make the tourney very boring or unenjoyable (if everyone will be using BP's and sawa's and the familiar stuff...that is), and although I may sound very hostile toward your ideas at this point, I'm sure we'll settle with a peaceful compromise (right...?).

Anyway, I don't think a BP/Sawa+Peryton/HP can be as strong as a micro missle+sniper rifle anyway...and I'm sure we'll all discover some nifty things as we go along procastinating and taking our time.

If Laeq and Dark have no problem, the theme of the next tourney will be the firepower limit. Even if I didn't vote, the firepower theme beats the dual/weapon arms theme 4-3.
Now I will make a new poll/discussion for the actual firepower limit value.
