im not sure why you guys are voting for the fire-power limit tourney....

there's so many loop-holes in having a set firepower such as heat,type of weapon (e.g. missle,hi beam rifle, etc.)

also, the entire thing would probably just be people putting in ACs with 9999 AP and mega defense so that they have the highest chance of not dying

O-G, I'm sure we can work something out because you've pointed out something very important. BUT, setting a firepower limit will make a person consider using different weapons. The WH05BP and the Karasawa each have over/around 6000 firepower. Being the more popular weapons, if I set the firepower limit to 8000, then an AC can only use a WH05BP and a weaker weapon. Ammo also comes into play, because a Pixie2 or any gun with a lot of ammo can boot up an AC's firepower to over 10000 alone, so those who want to use lightweight guns with a lot of ammo will have to reconsider that as well. I haven't looked at all the weapons yet, but I'm sure we'll all be "smart" enough to find some nifty combo's. I would also like to add that firepower limits will effectively shut down tanks...

Well, bigjon, I assume that you WANT to participate in a tourney, and so your vote counts. However, if Gamefan is NOT planning to participate, or has created an account ONLY to vote or to just hang around for a few days...then I'm going to have to take the count off. If he's planning to join us and all and he/she voted to support your idea, then that's fine with me.

well the main thing im worried about are the inside napalms...their heat is what deals the REAL damage, but thats not factored into total firepower, they only add about 1500 total firepower

Again, O-G, I feel that it's knowledge that we will all be using and hopefully share with each other. If ANY tourney theme wins, I'm sure we'll have to go through the details and requierments one by one, so I won't worry at this point. If firepower tourney doesn't work, guess what, runner up will take its place.

i would like to add the weapon arms tourney idea is the same as the dual weapons tourney so they should be place another the same topic

I thought weapon arms and dual weapons are different...because I thought identical weapons were also alllowed for the "dual weapon" theme...like double Orc's...double BP's...etc. etc. Can you redefine your terms, karnage?

Also, bigjon sought to put many other restrictions, such as no insides...EO's..boosting power(?)...etc etc. So, if you comply with his terms, sure, I'll combine the two together, restate the terms, and see if it will get more or less votes in the next round (I think it's going to advance because it's got at least two votes).

dual weapons means having 2 weapons of the same time on a ac, eo's with dual firing systems fit into this due to dual firing. extensions fit in duel the one of the same extension on both arms, arm weapons fit in due to both arms are the same weapons. the only eo's that is dist allowed is the uranus i think (not looking at it), insides are dissallowed due to only one shot is fired at a time, execpt with the sticky mines still disallowed. lx cannon is banned due to only one barrel on the gun. for dual back weapon users left arm shields will be the only thing on the left arm.

That's quite different from the weapon arms tourney...so I have decided to keep the votes apart.

Not like many people are voting anyway....I guess I'll have to narrow the votes down to two or three things, instead of four. What's wrong with the people on this board and polls? I mean, a LOT more show up for tourneys..

I'm going to give this "ever so successful" poll one or two more days.

As for now, I've chosen to group the weapon arms and dual weapons ideas together, because karnage and bigjon can work their rules and things out if the idea wins. Firepower limit and energy weapon tourney will also be advancing. If another poll will not be supported, the next tourney theme SHOULD be firepower limit. So...opinions? Comments?

Voting will end tomorrow. I'm assuming that people will join tourney's no matter what they are, so I'm just going to have one more poll or discussion on the top three choices, and then we'll go from there.

Our top candidates are as follows (still...):
1) Firepower limit
2) Dual weapons/Weapon arms Only
3) Energy weapons Only

I think these will stay, unless a swarm of enthusiastic newcomers sway the vote in half a day, I think Firepower limit will prevail. And remember, I haven't voted yet (mainly because I feel that I can't be voting for my own idea).

Well If anyone cares, these are the Opinions of my ACs.

Ominis wants to do the Identical weapons tourney.

Ominia wants to do the Energy Weapons Only.

Compotis wants the Fire Power Limit while Moderatus wants a No Limit Tourney.

Go figure . . .

Cunctus wants to have a Team Tournament.

Abortionis . . . wants an Make the Best AI for a Build Tourney using his own build for the tourney . . . since he doesn't have a finished AI for himself . . .

Tirocinium wanted a Can only use First Generation Parts Tourney.

Omnituens is aiming for a Sniper Weapon Only Tourney.

And finally the DG Units of the Officium. There are 20 of them in two groups of 10 being lead by Decurio and Decuria. They all count as one since they vote on what they to do among them selves.

They want a . . . anime look-a-like tourney? . . . thats um . . . wow . . .


Well anyway, Perditor, Tutor, Dominus, Letum, and Moderari(Moderatus' twin who hates his brother's partner Compotis) Don't really care much for events like these.
