Well, I've been thinking, and I've decided that the FF league as it is is basically dead. The main reasons for this include: one's ability to see your opposition and counter it, vast credit shortages, and generally too much leniency when it comes to building.
So in response to this, I am considering a complete overhaul of the basic infrastructure of the league. There will be new features, more restrictions, more rules (but less in a way), and a new credit system. Also, New designs will only be able to be viewed by the moderators, which may in fact bar them from participating.
Some expected changes include:
-Expert league
-New credit system
-Possible missions (of sorts) to gain creds
-more part restrictions/bans
-part purchasing (instead of change costs)
-more refined rules, as well as cleearer descritpions of them
-less battles to do for the mods
-increased design-time privacy
these are just a few of the things I can come up with off the top of my head. If you guys think of anything else, then wait until the decision to overhaul has been accepted or rejected please.

It'll seem like a game in itself (especially the purchasing of weapons).
I'm more or less all for the idea already. And I guess I'm fine with not being able to participate, as long as I can create/participate in tourney's and compete there. I'd be glad to do a service to people to keep the league alive, and perhaps draw in new members. I'm not brown-nosing; I just think it's best for this site.

We need to drop all the in active ACs from the league, all the action ends up being at the bottom with only sparrodic batles happening at the middle and top

good idea. we (jacques, TS, dark, and I) need to have a brainstorming session on how we should go about doing this, as well as developing the rules and such.

the problem though is that I really haven't thought into it a whole lot. I'm still going over some things in my head, like how we should do the missions or whatever....

Comment on Sinner's question.
I don't know if we're going to make mini leagues that focus on certain weapons...but we're definitely going to keep tourney's running so that there's always a twist in the competition and it's another way of earning credits.
BUT, I guess maybe we can sustain things like a blade league, but that'll probably happen after the new league settles down and progresses for a while (assuming it gets to start).
