Devil May Cry allowed me to release all of my anger in the most civil of ways. Another game that I use for anger management is Dynasty Warriors.
Favorite thing about that game: Dante's fearlessness, arrogance, and memorable dialogue. Hated thing about the game: Trying to reach far-away blue orb fragments WITHOUT air hike.

DMC is a great action game, one of my favs as you can tell. I played the first and third (stayed away from the 2nd because I'm usually a sucker to reviews), and I like the 3rd better.
My preferred weapons are always the swords (Alastor/ Rebellion, etc...), which seem to be the most well balanced, and I use the trickster style the most in DMC3.
And speaking of memorable dialogue: "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with llllliiiiigggghhhtttt!!"
Lol, just had to bring that up.

I'm a pretty big fan of DMC, we might want to move this thread to the proper spot (non AC PS2 games) though if we get enough discussion

The jester was awesome. Of course...it's Arkham(?..the bald guy and father[?] of the bazooka girl in DMC3). It would be cool to fight as that guy instead of Dante. That would be TOTAL PWNAGE.

Yeah, it would be cool and funny to play as Jester; but instead of melee attacks he would fight with those colorful balls... lol.
For me, the different colored eyes were a dead-giveaway to Jester's true identity, but I didn't notice it that much and was still surprised that he was Arkham.

Who here likes the Nevan (purple guitar/blade from DMC3)?
I found it particularly hard to use...and somewhat a waste of time compared to the other weapons, which didn't need many upgrades to be useful.

I didn't use it that much either, found it somewhat unwieldly.
Though, I did see it as a weapon with a lot of combo potential (specifically the attack when Dante goes to his knees and you have to press triangle several times), and thus a weapon that would probably require expert control to use effectively.
Speaking of which, what is everyone's favorite gun/long range weapon?
Ebony and Ivory are pretty handy but I thought the best weapon to use was the grenade weapon/launcher from DMC1. It always got the job done, even working decently on some bosses.

For guns....Ebony and Ivory's the only gun I needed in trickster mode, because I got to slash, hop, fire a ton of rounds, and then land to rinse and repeat.
As for close range melee attacks, I switch between any one of his swords and then the knuckles. I accumulate damage and combo hits with the sword(s), get the opponent to flinch, and then pull out the awesome shoryuken (Street Fighter move) with his fists (the white ones from DMC3).

Those are called the Beowulf gauntlets, I believe.

Yeah, Beowulf and Rebellion was always the best combo for me...
Speaking of which, my fav. battle was probably the Beowulf boss. Fun, memorable, and not too frustrating.
