actually im just bored, and i doubt FUBU will win unless he gets a terrain setup like Hollow,Leptas,Vina or something XD
but im hoping Zeratul will prove a challenge, whether or not he will win idk, but i want to see him get REALLY close in AP mainly, not necisarily to win, but to possibly show people what will work against NINE hehe

Howdy folks, today's episode promises to present one heck of a match, as both competitors are using restricted league weapons! Our pal shotdownmuse, way back in episode 2, did not succeed in making the entrance that he intended, with the ever-so-appropriated named AC “Unintended”. Now he's back for round 2, using a whole new build named “Fenrir”, a promising quad with the LX cannon. Will there be any winner in this battle of the bans? Will NINE continue it's winning ways? The answers to all these questions can't be answered until further, but may the best quad win! Fenrir (shotdownmuse) VS NINE (rainmaker) Match 1 (Vortex Mine) Grid 1: Fenrir Grid 2: NINE For some, it was a stroke of luck, for others, it was a twist of fate. The arena turned out to the famed Vortex Mine, one that allows particular ACs, such as tanks, to capitalize the damage of their high powered weapons.
As such, Fenrir had the absolute advantage in such an enclosed space. It severely killed off NINE's AP with not one, but TWO initial LX shots, the latter being a direct hit. Somehow, NINE was able to keep up a bit with enough harpy and micromissile attacks to keep them on about even level.
However, level was just the word that Fenrir needed to totally PWN NINE and any damage or evasion skills that it might have had. It jumped up to an elevated level, merely walking while firing off LX shots mockingly. And boy, did they hurt. NINE was reduced to fifty percent of its AP in no time.
Late into the match, it became EO VS harpies, as they both couldn't aim very well at their current elevations. Sure enough, Fenrir had to rely on the LX again, and missed one time, but landed another blast dead-on.
This was when NINE got really angry. I don't think anyone would like it while it's angry (*cough*moviereference*cough*).
Deciding that it was through with toying around, NINE finally leaped to the higher level with less than a thousand of it's AP left. Fenrir tried, but couldn't keep a tight aim as NINE moved about randomly here and there, the hohshi adding to it's defense. It jumped over it's hapless opponents, shooting several weapons at once, in a miraculously comeback that dropped more than 4000, count it, 4000 of Fenrir's remaining AP without taking another LX hit. By now, the apparent philosophy of NINE was revealed: attack conservatively, leave a hohshi here and there, and let the harpies save your sorry hide while you dodge.
The miracle fairy had arrived on the scene, and by that time Fenrir had been reduced to a mere pile of dust. Length: 0m39s Grid 1 Final AP: 0 Grid 2 Final AP: 300 Winner: NINE Match 2 (LPM furnace) Grid 1: Fenrir Grid 2: NINE Ouch. They say lightning never strikes twice, but what do they know? Another enclosed, stuffy arena that puts NINE at a power disadvantage.... or perhaps not? At the same time ECM noise levels were at a high, making any AC who ventured inside with a hohshi a force to be reckoned with.
This proved to be the case in Fenrir and NINE's second skirmish. A hohshi was automatically dropped onto the field, and Fenrir, being oblivious, tried to hit multiple times with LX bursts but they each missed by a mile, some crashing into the middle pillar. They rapidly took things into close quarters and it was lucky enough to get two direct LX attacks in, but NINE proved that tactics were it's forte.
While Fenrir was trapped in between the little columns of the furnace, NINE had no trouble jumping around the outskirts of the arena, dishing out harpy and bazooka attacks as if the conditions were normal.
Slowly but surely, Fenrir recovered and burnt NINE to a crisp with inside napalms. Trying to take advantage of the opponent's burnt state, Fenrir tried the usual LX beat-down again but missed most of the energy attacks.
Once again, the ever-so familiar jumping bazooka strategy proved to seal the ultimate victory, and NINE crunched it's jaws into the torso of the opposer Fenrir. Length: 0m28s Grid 1 Final AP: 0 Grid 2 Final AP: 1675 Winner: NINE Match 3 (Grand Arena) Grid 1: Fenrir Grid 2: NINE A spectacular end to a spectacular set of matches. The final bout took place in the familiar Grand Arena, giving neither AC a particular edge. NINE quickly took the lead, but Fenrir proved to be no slouch. It boosted into close range and landed a devastating LX attack. The two fought at mid range but somehow all of the LX beams were missing. It seemed as though the hohshi was giving NINE extra luck this time, combined with the cover of the demi-moat around the Grand Arena. Things were settled in record time and the AC with the renowned, terrifying weapon of might fell in a large explosion.
Length: 0m20s Grid 1 Final AP: 0 Grid 2 Final AP: 3452 Winner: NINE OVERALL WINNER: NINE (3/3) Well, Fenrir VS NINE was an interesting match in that that it supported an age-old theory: the pen (hohshi) is mightier than the sword (LX). The matches were close every time and I was often left on the edge of my seat, wondering who would take the win. It often came down to who took the last few attacks. Any way, NINE continues to devour any opponent that comes in its way, what a surprise. Also to sdm: I tried this battle a couple more times for kicks, and Fenrir could snag a few wins. Consider revising it a bit, maybe? NEXT EPISODE PREVIEW: Many attended Barda's funeral, mourning over the loss of the speedy, original AC. But all was not loss. Two ACs have emerged from Barda's restroom... Zeratul and FUBU. Will they meet NINE's expectations, or will revenge be an impossibility? These battles should be done by tightasianpilot, as he volunteered to help out. In the meantime I will be doing bz-OVERKILL versus NINE. Should O-G's battles not be posted, I will do them myself when I am done bz's match. And another note: Will you guys stop picking on NINE, anytime soon? Everyone wants a piece of him, but there's no variety to the matches... /conclude episode 7

Can I shove a revised Ancient Red into here then?
I thought that once an AC gets toppled, then all the other AC's will have to pick on it until it loses, and on and on. I mean, since NINE has been winning so much, I think we all share a common incentive to want to topple it. Here's a "cheap" way to beat it: the Hohoshi is the main barrier, and bipeds seem to do better than quads or tanks against it (my trials proved it, but it can mean nothing to anyone else). Of course, the AC has to have an S rating for VECM....preferrably much higher than the minimum 1000. NINE's harpies are the little bothersome insects and you'll need to dash and hop through those and try to take NINE head on. Run should be set at -16. 320+ boost power is ideal. The bonus is, the Hohoshi's effectiveness wears down at close range. The closer you get your AC to NINE, the better, because unlike CERBERUS, with its dual bazookas and their collective stun, a single WH05BP can't do the job to stop a well-rounded AC on its feet. It is necessary for your AC to have good defense, though, because the BP is infamous for doing crazy damage. 2000+ for shell defense is recommended. Energy defense isn't as important, because harpies won't do their usual pestering if you can keep tailing NINE. The battle will be like a chase, and if your AC's got the speed, firepower, and armor...then the victory is yours.
Dark - just make it so that each architect can only challenge the same person ONCE for a certain...undeclared period. Since you're running it, you have every right to call the shots.

Lol, I don't mean to discourage people from challenging NINE, as the whole point to the exhibition is free challenge. Just stating that it's repetitive that people are challenging NINE a lot... and losing unfortunately.
It would just be cool to see some variety here and there, like people challenging ACs other than NINE. There are definitely a handful of known ACs already having the ability to beat it, like perhaps Ancient Red, but they haven't come up to the plate yet.

heh, I'm not going to submit AR, since it's not a new build anyway. However, AC's can challenge bz-OVERKILL if they wish. I might switch some things though, like strap the Hohoshi and a Siren2, 3, or 4 because it would make bz better overall. But eh, I won't challenge NINE then. You can do whatever with bz-OVERKILL.

LX quad is a nice touch SDM. I was experimenting with it a long time ago. Good show though, I am sure you will come through with ease with some minor adjustments. There's always a bigger fish in the ocean, though. I am thinking about going fishing... perhaps for a bz-OVERKILL.

Will there be any winner in this battle of the bans? You stole my joke!!! . . . interesting match in that that it supported an age-old theory: the pen (hohshi) is mightier than the sword (LX). It had to be the pen from 'Indiana Jones'. (Cookies to those who know what I'm talking about! lol)

*snores* (Uh... sir? You're on the air.) *snot bubble pops, wakes up looking startled* Oh, hello again everyone. Today we have another episode of the exhibition match, live from the PSP!! Our guest of honor in this episode is the mod Jacques, totting along a new creation called bz-OVERKILL!! And how aptly named, it is. With bazookas, EOS, napalms, and even missiles too, who wouldn't be afraid of this hulking mass of terror?! *off-screen crowd claps hands together* And of course, we have the familiar NINE by rainmaker as the opponent, so far undefeated by the likes of previous ACs. Will this all change, with the introduction of the black enigma named OVERKILL? Will NINE stop being challenged, anytime soon? Well... we can only hope. Here's todays match, brought to you by Kisaragi. Oh, and before I forget: THE BATTLE OF THE BRENS: PART II bz-OVERKILL (Jacques) VS NINE (rainmaker) Match 1 (Rus Field) Grid 1: bz-OVERKILL Grid 2: NINE A classic field for a classic match. In this case, the sunny weather indicated a sharp change of pace. Bz-OVERKILL immediately swooped in to fight NINE, crazed with killer intent. It moved swiftly across the ground while dishing out massive damage with EO and bazooka bursts.
By then, their APs were so equal that it wasn't even funny. NINE tried the usual harpy death strikes but thanks to a bit of fancy footwork, OVERKILL dodged most of the shots that were sent its way. It was able to get decisive blows once they were within mere meters of each other, and that seemed to seal the deal.
NINE was overheated by the lethal napalms discharged by OVERKILL. It couldn't hold up as shells rained down upon it and bz merely jumped around, dashing gleefully.
Length: 0m18s Grid 1 Final AP: 2801 Grid 2 Final AP: 0 Winner: bz-OVERKILL Match 2 (Vina Parking) Grid 1: bz-OVERKILL Grid 2: NINE Ah, this was a match where either ol' man Barda would be proud, or extremely jealous that these two competitors were using the battleground at about the same skill level that he would. The match was extremely fast paced from the get-go, NINE strafing in-between pillars while dispensing hohshis, and also firing the occassional bazooka shot.
Somehow, the incredible NINE was able to keep a safe distance away form the wrath that was OVERKILL's inside napalms and damaging bazookas. And it would have lasted, too, but nothing was ever safe from the opponent in black, because bz-OVERKILL's extreme agility always allowed it to get close with it's gull2 boosters.
Finally, just as it seemed the battle was about to end, the enclosed space started to work to NINE's disadvantage. It could do nothing as OVERKILL slammed it, round after round, and napalm after napalm. Length: 0m39s Grid 1 Final AP: 4766 Grid 2 Final AP: 0 Winner: bz-OVERKILL Match 3 (Soliter Base) Grid 1: bz-OVERKILL Grid 2: NINE Short, uninspired. Bz-OVERKILL boosted around the buildings, kickin' butt and taking names. It unleashed a deadly onslaught onto the hapless NINE every time a solid lock was gained. NINE was being pushed back with every wave of attacks, nonetheless, it's valiant will would not permit it to throw in the towel. Fighting until the bitter end, the blue one met a happy demise in the heat of battle.
Length: 0m20s Gird 1 Final AP: 3104 Grid 2 Final AP: 0 Winner: bz-OVERKILL OVERALL WINNER: bz-OVERKILL (3/3) So, NINE finally lost. A crushing defeat against a speedy but strong opponent. Bz-OVERKILL looks to be the one to challenge, seeing as it won 3/3. Congrats... Jacques.... ....'nuff said. *sigh* I tire of this job. /end episode 8

Whatever ya say... I'll be around if you have some new counter creation or something, or just plan on entering an existing AC. It's just a shame that none of other mods can help me... Walking this deep, cold path alone.... doing battles left and right, not having a care in the world anymore....

Hmmm, it's no fun already knowing your opponent. Let's have a real match.
We'll drop the LX cannon and ECM jammers -- let's build or revise, whichever works and have a real battle. When ready, submit to Dark, once he host the battle, he will then post the design.
That is if Dark can get some help...

Battle of the Brens....lol.
Well, it seems that my strategy worked on in the end, and even in Vina Parking too...where I predicted that bz's ammo would be wasted on the pillars and its high hops will make it unable to manuever well enough. I'm glad bz got close enough.
Seeing that the newcomers aren't storming in as they have a few weeks ago...I guess bz will have to stand still and shut the gull2's off for the time being.
BTW, thanks a lot for hosting the battles, Dark. I can't find anyone who owns a PSP along with GTA...I guess I don't make friends with anyone who plays GTA, lol.
