Shear has permitted me to do this match because he has not the time to do any matches lately, so please do not be alarmed when you see my name in the Omega section. Also, I'm getting this challenge over with because it's 4-5 days old and I really want to free up Deadlock so excuse me for my impatience. Thank you.
Stage: Azoy Desert
Grid 1: Cobra II (Sinner2000)
Grid 2: Deadlock (Jacques)
A battle between two equally devastating AC's, this was quite the battle to behold, though it was short and ended in an anticlimatic manner. Cobra II, being a lightweight build with heavy weapons but still being able to manuever and fire very well, had the upper hand to begin with as it constantly stunned Deadlock on its feet with repeated blasts from its grenade launcher and bazooka. Deadlock, with its heavy armor, could withstand many of the hits it received, and strived to stay on its feet so that it can return its own volley of bazooka shots at Cobra II. The two began to 'dance' in a circular pattern in the middle of the desert, trying to track each other down and get a clear shot from the side. But then, Deadlock's Hohoshi began to take its toll on the unprepared Cobra II, as Cobra II quickly became jammed and unable to fire its deadly weapons accurately. Although the aggressive circular dance continued, Cobra II's shots just could not hit Deadlock, and Deadlock soon finished Cobra off with a WH05BP shot.
Length: 23s
Grid 1 Final AP: 0
Grid 2 Final AP: 6823
Winner: Hohoshi (seriously, the part that won the battle) - Deadlock
Deadlock's victory earns Jacques 2000 cd, and Deadlock remains at rank 4. No points for style because the Hohoshi did the dirty work.
Cobra II's loss earns Sinner2000 1150 cd. and stays at rank 5. It received 400 style points because it never loosened its aggressiveness in trying to blast Deadlock with its weapons even with two Hohoshi's on the field. Cobra II has a very bold and persistent AI, which fits the build very well. Although V ECM performance is not entirely necessary, it should be taken into consideration for future matches. Also, the Fugen FCS is quite strange for a build like Cobra II, because it's so narrow (not saying that it's necessary for you to change this, either). Perhaps experiment with the F82D2(?) for some range and a wider lock.
