Stage: Azoy Desert
Grid 1: Volt
Grid 2: Deadlock
Another battle of Hohoshi users, this battle was a little more predictable than the BE v. V2. Having stayed at rank four for so long without a battle, Deadlock fought this battle to lose the rust and to stretch out, while Volt was eager to advance and challenge the legendary three that stood above itself and its opponent.
The battle started out with the two AC's using the same circular following that snipers use. Volt landed the first hit on Deadlock, and with +16 action decided to boost towards the rusty AC. Both AC's were constricted by ECM waves early in the match, but Volt's lower ECM level allowed for Deadlock to exploit its opponent's lack of proper lock on for a large half of the match. Deadlock seized the opportunity to repeatedly hurl bazooka shots at Volt like thunderbolts. Volt, with a high heat and high energy drain booster, quickly lost energy and went into charging status after going into overheating status for a short amount of time.
Deadlock continued to circle the helpless and stranded AC like a vulture, while consistently firing its bazooka shots at the hopping Volt. Volt was unable to cause much damage to Deadlock for the rest of the match, as its grenade launcher failed to connect because of the ECM interference. Deadlock took advantage of all of Volt's weaknesses and took the win.
Length: 31s
Grid 1 Final AP: 0
Grid 2 Final AP: 6407
Winner: Deadlock
I'm kind of reluctant to give out style points for hohoshi and lx users because they're a lot more predictable...so...none given here either.
Jacques receives 2000 cd. Deadlock stays in its position.
Anklebreaker gets 750 cd, and Volt stays in fifth place.
