BATTLEGROUND: DIMCAGE TOWN
Rank 9 Battle
Grid 1 (Challenger): Despair II
Grid 2 (Defender): Genocide
[glow=aqua,2,300] It seemed as though the Alpha league only saw monotony in its matches, and this one proved it. Once again, architects Sinner and Tailsnake were duking it out; only this time Despair II was the challenger.
These ACs had recently received an overhaul to improve performance, so the result was less predictable. Genocide, the renowned heavy hitter, bided its time as Despair II loomed in the distance, gradually getting closer. Then, suddenly...
*THUMP*
Tailsnake's AC appeared from the left of the central building, attacking with twin barrels. Despair II was slightly taken aback, but its recovery time was impressive and it released EO energy cores to counter. The blue rays hit with impressive precision, but they werent a sufficient match to Genocide's heavy damage shells. That's when Despair II made a costly mistake.... again.
Under enormous pressure, it switched to using a back-mounted grenade launcher. The firey attacks lobbed from it did wonderful damage, yet just like the last match they were extremely slow to execute. Despair II's selena core sparked with ECM errors as it was affected by Genocide's new syamana inside part. These dirsruptors only served to worsen its situation.
Genocide dodged several flaming shots with ease. Although it was able to do this, even its own shots werent able to connect. The battle was 2709ap grid 1 and 6966Aap grid 2. Both opponents had trouble tracking each other down, and when they finally did the damage inflicted was only gradual.
It all ended anticlimatically as Despair II jumped into the open and exploded from the force of two bazooka rounds. This time, Genocide was able to confirm who was boss.[/glow]
