BATTLEGROUND: DIMCAGE TOWN
Grid 1 (Challenger): Genocide- Tailsnake
Grid 2 (Defender): Static-anklbreaker
Some ACs have all the luck, while others... not so much. Genocide had proven its battle prowess over and over again, rapidly progressing up the ranks. Conversely, Static had little luck in its matches but was out to reverse its losing streak in this instance.
The stage was set, and the normally desolate area of Dimcage Town was brought back to life through a series of constant explosions. Genocide was the first to discover its opponent; but Static, the menacing proclaimed 'killer-energy tank' proved that the hand was quicker than the eye, firing not one but two consecutive skylla beams that landed dead on target.
Tailsnake's AC tried desperately to counter with a syamana, but the range just wasn't good enough for the ECM disruptions to be any good. The tank of the battle did not fail to impress with its persistance; shooting several karasawa blasts, one after the other; never pausing and never relenting. It was simply too much for Genocide to handle.
But, if there's one thing this match would've taught you it is that you really shouldn't count your chickens before the hatch. Genocide, while unable to move in close enough to get behind Static, showed impressive hit-and-run tactics behind the buildings of Dimcage Town. This was ultimately the homefield advantage; and the battlefield was once again leveled out when both ACs reached about the AP level of the 3900s.
Static wasted preciously energy missing shots aimed at Genocide that simply conected on buildings, causing them to shake warningly; as if to collpase at any moment. It was then forced to recharge with a jiren. Genocide tried to take advantage of this through a tactical, cautious bazooka hitting assault but came up only by just a little short. Every time that it tried to run out into the open and attack Static multiplied the damage that it would've took with that it inflicted.
Reinstating it's power in a mighty roar, the ivory tank left town for another challenge, leaving Genocide but an empty shell.
Length: 1m11s
Grid 1 Final AP: 0
Grid 2 Final AP: 3932
Winner: Static
Credit Rewards/Comments:
- Static gets 2000cd for AP remaining, no style points as nothing it did (other than win) was particularly interesting.
- Genocide gets the 750cd minium and 250 style points for using its favorite stage to a great advantage, keeping up fairly well.
- Nooo... Genocide lost to a tank. Oh well; maybe it will come back like it always does.
- I highly recommend that anklbreaker adds favorite stages to his AC so that they can defend with more efficiency.
