BATTLEGROUND: HOLLOW ARENA
Rank 12 Battle
Grid 1 (Challenger): Hellish- Tailsnake
Grid 2 (Defender): Widower 2.1- shear_x000
What can I say about this battle? Other than... slightly predictable. The battle lasted a fair 30 seconds but it felt like it was over under 30mils flat.
The worse nightmare of a tank was manifested in both the arena and the AC. Hellish, the famed yellow flamer, was able to hover at insane speeds in the enclosed Hollow Arena. It's first move was of course the infamous machine gun opener, followed by a searing burst of heat. And what great timing, too. Widower fired a quad blast from its chimera but the heat prevented it from taking any further course of action. Ensnared in a deadly trap, it looked as though Widower could be painted with a giantic target on its forehead, complete with a sign on its chest that read 'shoot me'.
Hellish had the absolute advantage, but just as in previous battles it did not maintain the nichirin advance. Widower was allowed to cool off for just one instance; but unfortunately the time was not used wisely. Dispensing a hohshi from its selena core, the ECM disruptor proved to do little good at such close range. Once again, the advantage couldn't be seized and Hellish ensnared the tank in a deadly ring of flames and napalm shots.
Turning at an impressive rate, Hellish wouldn't allow Widower to get a shot in.. that is until it made the worse possible mistake. Steadying in for the assault at close range AND in front of Widower's face, it was blasted by not one but four consecutive chimeras, drastically reducing its AP.
Widower's time, however, was already up. After its last shot connected it overheated shortly thereafter--leaving only the undefeated spawn of Hell to spoil the riches of victory.
Length: 0m30s
Grid 1 AP Remaining: 3599
Grid 2 AP Remaining: 0
Winner: Hellish
Credit Rewards/Comments:
- Slightly predictable outcome on Hellish's hometurf. Widower did a little better than I anticipated tho--considering it is a tank VS anti-tank.
- Hellish gets 2000cd for AP remaining and 300style points of total outmanuever of opponent and keeping up the flames. It lost about a 100points just for allowing those quad cannon attacks to land.
- Widower gets the 750cd min and no style points. It couldnt really help it this being the Hollow Arena.
