BATTLEGROUND: DIMCAGE TOWN
Rank 7 Battle
Grid 1 (Challenger): Genocide- Tailsnake
Grid 2 (Defender): Static- anklbreaker
[glow=aqua,2,300]Genocide's knack for exacting revenge was tested once again in a rematch with Static. Now fitted with a grenade launcher and a nichirin, it was appropriately dubbed as being in "tank killer edition"--and even from the beginning this was painfully clear.
The prey, Static, should have hid when it had the chance... but with its enormous, bulky body it may as well have stopped moving. The hunter Genocide boosted swiftly behind building to building, biding its time for the exact moment to strike.
Then, both being on opposite sides of the same building, Genocide revealed itself and launched a powerful grenade into the heart of the ivory tank. The resulting explosion looked just as bad as it sounded, causing even the massive Static to be pushed back a little.
The offensive pressed on with no signs of waning, as Genocide reared back, unleashing a roar of nichirin flames that not only attacked the opponent but the very ground it stood on too.
The combined heat attack of two potent weapons was simply too much for a tank like Static to handle; its AP began to chip away like a timer counting down. An unlikely opportunity was found in Genocide's back boosting; and Static took the moment to unleash a blitz of energy waves. The attacks connected with a painful screech of metal being pierced away, almost as if it were dissolved. Hitting in equally impressive, blue rays of concentrated light, it looked like the tank could redeem itself.
Then, a syamana was inserted into the battleground and the little troublemaker succeeded with showing its ability to change the course of the battle. Genocide had no trouble getting into close range, lobbing yet another powerful grenade at its foe. Then, moving around the opponent and around yet another building, it unleashed trio of the deadly heat bombs that landed with critical hits.
It all ended with a direct confrontation between Genocide and Static, vying to take away the last of their opponent's AP counts. The tank tried desperately to fire but only a few shots could land while it was assailed on all fronts with heat attacks.
In the end, Genocide favored using nichirin in tandem with grenade launcher, sending Static packing. [/glow]
Length: 0m38s
Grid 1 Final AP: 4388
Grid 2 Final AP: 0
Winner: Genocide (tank killer edition)
Credit Rewards/Comments:
- Tailsnake's AC gets 2000cd for AP remaining, another 100style for overwhelming the opponent with heat weapons and showing decent efficiency with the nichirin. It lost some points because it is by essence a counter (albeit a needed one).
- Static gets 750cd min, no style points because other than a few devastating shots all it did was sit tight getting attacked/heated...
