Stage: Vina Parking (random map, because neither entrant posted preferred stages)
Grid 1: Force Wing (nastradamatic)
Grid 2: Cobalt (bakabum)
Force Wing seemed to have lagged behind most of the battle with too many weapons, and not all of them used, while Cobalt was able to use its Ogre2 weapon especially well. Cobalt kept a solid range and was able to get in quite a number of accurate Golem shots as well, and the onslaught soon made Force Wing overheat and lose all of its energy, as Force Wing relentlessly fired its Gorgon in a futile attempt to keep up with its opponent's deadly attacks. Wing's small grenade launcher, though it had many a number of successful hits, did not damage Cobalt much, and Cobalt was able to steadily finish off Force Wing from afar with its never-before-seen Ogre2+Golem combination.
Length: 34s
Grid 1 Final AP: 0
Grid 2 Final AP: 7008
Winner: Cobalt
Cobalt's victory earns bakabum 2300 points, 2000 max for AP remaining and 300 style points because it masterfully utilized the Ogre2 and Golem while experiencing little energy problems, and also dodged the majority of Force Wing's shots. Very swift and impressive build. I also enjoyed seeing that although Cobalt had the Grid2 spot, which gave it a movement disadvantage, it was on the offensive the whole time. Cobalt advances to rank 30.
Force Wing's loss earns nastradamatic 850 points and drops one rank down to 31. It receives the 750 minimum and 100 for style because although Cobalt was fiercely attacking, Force Wing was able to strafe from one pillar to the next to avoid many of Cobalt's attacks and retaliate a few times with its grenade launcher and gorgon. My suggestion is to take off the missles, which Force Wing never used, and give Force Wing stronger arm weapons, if you wanted them to be Wing's primary form of attack.
