Grid 1: Barda (Oonga-Boonga!!)
Grid 2: Ancient Red (Jacques)
Barda's infamous Karasawa+WR81G combo worked wonders on this map, and does once again in this battle against Ancient Red, as it gained an early advantage by keeping a consistent long range and steady shots at Red. Ancient Red had the slight disadvantage as it started in the Grid 2 position and had to boost down the driveway to get a good lock onto Barda. Barda's continuous shots already took a fourth of Red's AP by the time it came down, but when it did, Barda was in trouble.
With the grenade launcher that Barda had, a solid EO core, an inside napalm rocket, plus its aggressive circular attack tactic, Ancient Red was able to trap the distance-keeping Barda into a corner of the parking lot and punish it with grenade and napalm rocket shots. Even though Red's retaliation was fierce, Barda's boosting skills saved it from receiving further damage, as it quickly recovered energy with the Jiren and jolted to Red's side, landing two successful shots at Red. Even though Barda seemed to have sealed the match, as it gained the ability to continue backing up and firing again, it made the mistake of trying to boost behind Red.
The mistake proved to be costly, as Barda saw itself trapped in the open, after Red stunned Barda with a grenade launcher shot, and continued the deadly circular dance. Barda's energy depleted quickly, and it was unable to boost out of the seemingly tireless assault. Although it was able to shoot at Ancient Red a few more times, each successful shot that it made was returned ten-fold by Ancient Red. Seconds after, Barda fell.

Ancient Red's victory earns Jacques 2200 cd. and moves to rank 33. 200 style points were awarded because Red was able to close in and crush Barda even though it suffered massive damage from a storm of grenade launcher and Karasawa shots. It also rendered Barda's expert maneuvering in this stage useless as it trapped Barda to a corner.
Barda's defeat earns Oonga-Boonga!! 1050 cd. and drops to rank 34. 300 style points were awarded because I was quite impressed particularly at Barda's quick use of the Jiren and jolt away from Ancient Red's first assault, which all seemed to happen in less than a second. I was also amazed at the accuracy and energy conservation that Barda was capable of doing for the entirety of the match. Even though it used the Karasawa frequently, it never went into "Charging" mode when it was overheating.
