Magus' Note- For those of you who haven't been keeping up, Jacques and I have agreed to share some of the beta battles.
BATTLEGROUND: GRAND ARENA
Rank 39 Battle
Grid 1 (Challenger): VR-Titan- (echo)
Grid 2 (Defender): MW-Mint- (Moonwalker)
[glow=pink,2,300] New architects echo and Moonwalker proved that you dont have to be a veteran on the boards to spark an exciting match. This time around, it was between two very similar tanks, each heavily armored and equipped with a nichirin; but the difference in range proved key to the winner's success.
VR-Titan started the party with a confetti of bazooka shells. MW-Mint was rendered powerless to fight back, the attacks rupturing all around it, and was unable to get into attacking range. To remedy this problem, it overboosted briefly while discharging a napalm attack. The Titan was immediately set aflame.
As payback, echo's tank moved into close quarters, summoning it's nichirin to do the dirty work. Being a tank, Mint lacked the evasive skills to counter and began to heat up. Yet, having surprising good cooling it was able to respond with its own flamethrower attack. The match was truly amazing to behold as the firey blaze took over the arena, burning both tanks and melting their AP away.
VR-Titan still had the AP advantage for shooting the initial long range rounds. That's when MW-Mint got a little more serious. Finally activating a back-weapon well into the battle, the impressive ladon2 charged up, and blew away a large chunk of the opposer's AP as it connected, causing a beautiful pink explosion. However, at this stage it was already too late; Mint's firing interval just wasnt good enough and the heat given to it by Titan finally took its grasp.
The reaper of ACs soon came calling, then with one quick slash of its scythe it took away MW's soul.
Sometimes, the simplest battles can be the greatest.
[/glow]
Length: 0m32s (why is this always the magic number?)
Grid 1 Final AP: 5514
Grid 2 Finap AP: 0
Winner: VR-Titan
Credit Rewards/Comments:
- VR-Titans gets 2000cred for AP remaining and another 100 for showing an impressive nichirin struggle.
- MW-Mint gets the 750cred minimum and another 100 for being a part of the nichirin struggle and using overboost as a tank. It is a unique combo, to say the least.
- Congrats echo on your first league win! Better luck next time Moon Walker.
