DG-VIII received another seemingly harmless object to shoot at today (the match was held at Vortex Mine because bakabum failed to submit any favorite stages for his AC's, and Vortex Mine is basically a shooting range for tanks), and the particular 'object' happens to be an agile AC with dual Nichirins that goes by the name of Smoulder. Initially, Smoulder was able to dodge nearly all of DG-VIII's humongous Skylla blasts. It was struck by the WH05BP, though, but steered clear most of the time, and boosted from side to side as it approached DG-VIII. When it got close, Smoulder was able to overheat DG-VIII over 4300 degrees, and DG-VIII's AP quicky plummeted, along with its energy. Had Smoulder continued the close range assault, it may've snatched the victory at the instant, but it chose to back up in another evasive maneuver and literally fell off the edge of the cliff. After that, it was a game of whack-a-mole for DG-VIII, as Smoulder failed to boost itself back up, only rearing its head a few inches above the edge of the cliff, which proved to be an easy target for DG-VIII's Skylla. A few Skylla and bazooka shots after, Smoulder was able to fly high above DG-VIII, but its AP was far too low for it to stand another assault. Unforuntately for Smoulder, the assault came, and Smoulder was struck down by DG-VIII.

DG-VIII's victory earns Atrum 2000 points.

Smoulder's loss earns bakabum 950. 200 awarded for style because it made some very impressive maneuvers to dodge quite a number of Skylla blasts early in the game, even though the blast was as big as Smoulder's body.

lol I sorry but that was too funny. It reminded me of when I was playing Halo(the first one) and me and my friend had system linked it, he was in the other room. We were in Blood Gulch, I was running towards a base, he was in it with a sniper rife. He took 2 shots hitting me once. I then ducked behind a small hill while crouching, now I'm stuck. lol At this point I proceeded to move a few feet left and right randomly letting go of the crouch button and pressing it again, all in the mean time him trying to shoot me lol. This proceeded for about a full minute. Then he started to scream "DAMNIT!! STOP!! ITS LIKE f**kING WHACK-A-MOLE!!"

This became my favorite game of Halo I ever played.

The second was me waiting behind a bigger hill this time with a Warthog as I knew he was running up from behind the hill. I hit the gas just as he reached the middle of the hill on his side, so by the time I jumped the hill I hit him right in the face with the Warthog lol. This wasn't on system link this time so I was able to time it by watching his half of the screen lol.

Nah, its ok. Smoulder was a "for fun" build. using dual nichirins is ineffective, especially since my AC moves faster than the flames -_-;

mmm....Smoulder versus Hellish, that would be most interesting, though I think that Hellish's machine gun gives Hellish an attack advantage; the flames won't be able to keep up with either AC's speediness. But then again, Smoulder's not shabby at evading either.

But, shouldn't we wait for free challenge day for stuff like this (or not, if shear's not going to do it anytime soon)?

I saw him on at around...I don't remember, anywhere from 1 o'clock to 3 o'clock in the morning today. He usually logs on pretty early, or pretty late, but only for a short while.

I bet he's just checking to make sure that none of us moderators has made an annoucement to take over, hehe.

Ah, he lost to Ancient red (expected) and big-assed tank that fired energy shots larger than it (because i forgot to put hollow arena as my fav stage)
Smoulder has been withdrawn from the league. His brother Immolation will be joining in soon.
