Stage: Hollow Arena
Grid 1: Ancient Red
Grid 2: Giga T-Rex
The bazooka and karasawa-wielding Giga T-Rex stepped into Hollow Arena with Ancient Red having the obvious home court advantage. Regardless, though, Giga T-Rex proved that it can be a great threat to AR even though there is a lack of space for more free movement. The battle started off with AR nailing Giga on the shoulder with a nade and napalm rocket. Despite the overheating status, Giga quickly backed up to devastate AR with a karasawa and bazooka shot. It tried to strafe away from the approaching fiend but the lack of space only made Giga pin itself, which gave AR the offensive advantage. Giga tried its hardest to counter with its karasawa and bazooka, and though it was able to hit AR once in a while, AR was much more dominant in the offense because Giga had nowhere to move. The intense overheating quickly caused Giga to lose all of its energy, even though it's infamous for using the Jiren like a pro in its older matches. Without any energy left, and continued overheating, Giga became a sitting duck the AR's seemingly endless assault, and its AP was quickly worn to 0 with a stream of sylph shots.
Length: 20s
Grid 1 Final AP: 5793
Grid 2 Final AP: 0
Winner: Ancient Red
Ancient Red's victory earns Jacques 2200 cd. I finally awarded my own AC with style points because although AR has all-attack AI, it was able to perform some nice moves to evade a number of Giga's shots. AR moves to rank 26, closing in on Gamma.
Giga T-Rex's loss earns nastradamatic 900 cd. 150 was awarded because although T-Rex was less agile and the map was not fit for this long-range build, it was able to deal good damage to AR with its two powerful weapons, and also used the Jiren like a pro the first time to get another ksrw in.
Advice: post a favorite stage so that T-Rex gets the range advantage that it deserves and needs.
