BATTLEGROUND: LEPTAS ARENA
Rank 34 Battle
Grid 1 (Challenger): MW-Mint- Moonwalker
Grid 2 (Defender): Ominia- AtrumCustodis
To say the least, this was a very interesting match. Ominia, Ominis' brother AC with dual bazookas, was out to show the league that it too could battle just as effectively. And with the terrain advantage given to it, it looked as if everything would be cake.
Ominis iniatiated the conflict with two heavy bazooka attacks. MW-Mint took them dead-on, but looked almost unfazed. It merely overboosted in return; a tactic famous and unique to it's tanky form.
The gambit proved surprisingly useful and Mint was able to evade shells with fair efficiency. Then the heavy guns were brought out as its skylla was activated. Landing with perfect grace to the opponent Ominia, the beam caused a tremendous chunk of damage which ruptured in a gigantic, electric-like explosion.
Ominia moved into close range but that move proved costly as MW-Mint turned on the furnace with its nichirin. Amazingly enough, the flamethrower was able to keep Ominia in place as Mint blasted it with another skylla shot; the timing was perfect.
As if in terror, Ominia fell back to evade the attacks, but didn't have much room to run in the Leptas Arena. Mint used an overboost maneuver once more; this time getting in to scorch the opponent with the constant heat of flames.
The biped failed to dodge with any effectiveness, causing its AP to plummet as the seconds passed by. When it did manage to cool down, however, it redeemed itself a little by getting behind the tank, confusing it constantly by attacking on many sides with EO attacks and bazooka rounds.
Despite great efforts, Ominia wasn't able to stay out of sight for long; Mint simply activated the skylla again and destroyed its opponent in a flash of blinding light.
Length: 0m56s
Grid 1 Final AP: 546
Grid 2 Final AP: 0
Winner: MW-Mint
Credit Rewards/Comments:
- MW-Mint gets 546cd for AP remaining and another 200 for style; overboost proved useful for even a tank in the Leptas Arena. Also the trapping nichirin/skylla tactic was pretty well thought out. It's a bit of a shame that Mint doesn't have a desired stage; this one could be it.
- Ominis gets 750cd min and another 50 just for the bit of redemption getting behind hte opponent.
