Rank 43 Battle
Stage: Grand Arena
Grid 1: Bishop II
Grid 2: Mobious
The prestigious site where AC's duke it out in final battles was perfect for the exciting match between these two AC's, both debutting in their first battle. Being an agile quad leg and a very unique AC with interesting AI (I'll explain why), Bishop II started the match with a conservative approach, strafing right and left in hopes to evade the massive grenade launcher shots that was fired by Mobious. Bishop II took many devastating blows that took off huge chunks of its AP with each hit, but that did not hinder Bishop II's ability to carry on its plan. After evading the one shot that it was waiting for, Bishop II quickly boosted its way straight for Mobious and set the tank ablaze with a Coral and WR81G hit. Almost teasing the tank, Bishop II stopped right in front of the flaming tank to score some hits with its shotgun. Mobious responded with another successful grenade launcher hit, but Bishop II stood its ground, then took a magnificent leap, launched another Coral at Mobious's heavy armor to continue roasting the tank, and began to implement the famed circular attack tactic that most, if not all the quad legs in the league are infamously known for. Mobious was in big trouble, as it was unable to lock on to the speedy quad leg, which intelligently stayed RIGHT BEHIND the tank for the majority of its circuling action. Bishop II continued to pound the helpless tank with repeated WR81G and shotgun shells, and with the occasional Coral to add spice to the nearing victory. Mobious, after taking a series of damaging blows, finally was able to turn around and see Bishop II face to face, as Bishop II decided to take a soft landing in front of the tank to tease it again. Mobious, probably quite infuriated by now, fired another back unit nade shell that erupted in a grand explosion. Bishop II, again, after taking a hard hit for teasing, decided to be a little more mature and finally finished off Mobious with a grenade launcher and a few more shotgun hits.
Length: 33s
Grid 1 Final AP: 4263
Grid 2 Final AP: 0
Winner: Bishop II
Bishop II's victory earns DarkEffigy 2300 cd. I must award 300 style points to Bishop because its tactics were not only effective, but entertaining. It had a personality of its own, because it started off conservatively by keeping a distance from the tank, but after taking a few hits, it decided to decimate the big tank with the circular tactic that I thought was impossible to do with Bishop II's unusually conservative AI. Like I said, Dark, mellow killer. I also enjoyed how Bishop II acted immaturely almost, stopping in front of Mobious to tease it with a few shotgun hits, and then return to its circular death parade. Very fun to watch, Bishop II battle, Dark. Bishop II advances to rank 43, and gets ever closer to Ancient Red for their fated duel that will take happen in ten years time.
Mobious's loss earns Sky Walker 800 cd. 50 cd. was given for Mobious's ability to turn around that ONCE, despite the seemingly flawless ability that Bishop II had to stay behind Mobious the whole time, to blast the quad leg with a back nade launcher. Other than that, the tank had little offensive presence, primarily because it seemed to have used only one of its three weapons. Mobious has the WEC-1 on, and that's focused on right and back weapons, while Mobious has a bazooka on the LEFT hand, so that may've caused the problem. Work on the AI, and maybe take off one of the back weapons on Mobious, and it'll be sure to perform better next time.
