what is "locking"? That term have been floating around the MH community a lot lately, but I have no clue what it means or how to execute it.

Multtiple wyvern "flinches" in quick succession so the wyvern can't attack

Gasu, I just killed Lao and I was wondering if it would be worth the multiple runs to get it's armour

Well there are better armor out there but all together it give 111 def.I just have it on for looks and still own G class wyverns.Oh and when you kill the Guild Lao you get stuff to make the upgarde for it which each part gives 32def.

lots and lots of sonic booms and forst edge. it should do them both in.

How do you get Frost Edge? I'm pretty sure you need a White Monoblos Shell to make it.

Yes you do, so do the monoblos quest #2 from the elder and you should get it.

The Full normal Set off elder Lao gives Guard+2 and Damage Rec speed +1.Then the Guild one gives you map skill points i cant remember what that one does i think it just a permanent map type thing But the def it gives is nice.

oh and to get frost Edge+ you need nova crystal which G rank Gyp drop when you break the Thing on its head.You can also get it form mining in your farm or just do the Treasure hunts and try for expand pickaxe to use it on them.I hope that helps xD oh yea one more thing if you didnt know go to www.bradygames.com/promotions/promotion.asp?promo=3535&redir=1&rl=1

Head: Protection Piercing
Body: Kut-Ku D
Waist: Loprey Tasset
Arms: Velociprey
Legs: Loprey Greaves

Weapon: Assassin's dagger

Cobalt your gear is ok for now once you make it to 4* try and make full rathalos armor.

You should upgrade to Poison Battleaxe and Yain Garuga armor, you should be able to by now already.

It will prepare you for pretty much almost anything that stands in your way until HR2 guild quest.

Full YGG set will boost your defense to 140+, sharp blade skill and auto-gaurd with the protection earring, fire and thunder defense +10 and PBA will boost your attacks to 238 with a poison stats of 280.

Finishing up the 2* quests, from the elder, i dont even know what a Yian Garuga IS >_> and im quite stumped as to how im going to get poison sacs other than by killing that gyceperos or whatever.

You could kill some Iodrome. They also give P-Sacs.

Yian Garuga=Very hard wyvern its going to take you like 5~7rounds to kill it with PBA so try and make a water base sword.The armor is nice and all but it gets boring to look at after like 20 or so quests.

it only takes 3 rounds to kill garuga with the PBA.

Yup. YGG isn't hard, just have lots and lots of HP to deal with and time limits. Beware, the last time I fought it with PBA, a glitch occurred. It was so freaking mess up, now, everytime I fought YGG, I tried not to use PBA.

It was poison to dead, and fell into the wyvern cave at the start of the mission, which the game still thinks it's alive. I have no clue how that happened, I saved the previous mission w/o knowing, which is dead everytime, not matter how many times I reload and do the quest.

I hope it never happens to anyone else, because if you unknowningly save it after a fight and glitched on the next battle, it's permanent.

Whenever I first fought the Garuga, almost every attack bounced off him. Not anymore though, now that I have a fork and knife!

lol if that happen it really doesn't matter Garuga isn't the best armor if you made the armor already don't even waste your time trying to make the new one.Don't even try and make the weapons there a waste of money if you do want to kill it i would do it for just the item to sell.
