I know this game is a year old or so... but I just got it. And it scares the hack out of me.
It was creepy and scary.
Multi-player mode was great...

The person on the cover is supposed to be the mother of someone or another...if I remember correctly. Looks like the person from Ringu.

ive beaten it a couple of times, Aalnah is one scary bit*h
but its only for the computer right now, ittl be coming out for Xbox soon though(i think 360, the game has beautiful graphics btw)
my fave gun is the starter grade SMG and the Needle gun(i call it the "Baton" gune since the spikes are about that size lol)

Another excellent survival horror game is System Shock 2. Old, but good.

Because sensible people don't do these things. Sensible people don't take their sleepwalking child to the ghost town whose name they scream in their dreams. They don't send single man SWAT teams into towns in chaos, they call in the national guard and quarantine the area.
But we NEED these things to happen for the game to be enjoyable.
