So. I was thinking of ways to get this site out there to the world.
Several options exist. I don't know about the feasability of some of them. I already have an idea of how I'm gonna advertise. I'll share it in a minute.
So here are the options:
1) Purchase a domain name (if the one EJ gave us doesn't stay around) ($$)
2) Register with search engines ($$)
3) Advertise on MMORPGs and such (free, beside the cost to subscribe to the game)
4) Spam on other sites (not recommended)
5) Tell everyone you know
6) Tell everyone you DON'T know (lol)
7) Blogs
8) My Space (I don't use it, but whatever floats your boat)
9) ACO (done)
etc.
Personally, I play Star Wars Galaxies a bit. I think I'll get a droid to stand in places where people frequently visit, and have it advertise the site.
For purchasing a domain and registering with search engines, that takes money. Though it's not much, it's still there.

I will tell everyone I dont know... just pop up on a random forum and advertise the site  . Heh, just kidding. Arent there any other popular AC websites besides ACO? I dont really check anything other than the first page of google results. |

Ouch.. that's kinda sad that they have kinda a monopoly on the net AC community. Make more sites, people  . Diversity is good. BTW What is this 'bad thing' that you may be predicting in the news fader? Ya got me worried... |

I have a bunch of hardcore AC friends who play most AC games on the PS2, they all wont stoop to buyign AC:FF because they dislike the crappy manual controls

Ok I was looking at www.cheatcc.com and I noticed they had free advertising.A lot of people go there all the time so go check it out and we might be able to get more people. |

Well, either I'm lazy, or it's because I only go to the same 3 or 4 websites when I'm online (and of course, this is one of them). My surfing range on the internet is quite narrow, so I know of no sites where I can help advertise. I try to rally support at my school, but people seem to be more fond of Mario Kart on their little DS's ...sigh...

Mario Kart 64 is the only good Mario Kart, anything on Ds they call Mario Kart 64 is NOT 64...its DS'd version of 64, which makes it suck...lol

Wow...I checked out those pages and this forum seems to be the prettiest, most organized, and friendliest AC board on the internet.
Or maybe I'm just biased, but I'm sure many people here will share the same opinion.
One of the forums have tourney's where money's put on the line....and I don't think we're ready for that yet, or should even put that into consideration, but it was interesting to see people playing AC for money (which is definitely not uncommon or anything).

Ho-hum... I'm in a lighter mood now. Just changed to the flashier, contrast-theme logo... hope shear's okay with it; if not I can change it back. Any way, I still think somes of thoses sites could help us a bit. If no one is willing to advertise, then I guess I'll be the messenger again (I'd do much to help the league in any way possible). This forum looks relatively decent with over 1,000 members. I'll start by registering there: forum.acgarage.com/Alright, advertising at that site is complete (even though it's late at night). Now all we have to do is sit back and wait for positive results. EDIT- The advertising compaign continues.
