ATTENTION!!! I have been messing around with a phpBB forum, and have configured it the way I'd like (with shop, cash, etc...) please check out the newly created test forum and see if you like it (it is barren, I know  ) A couple of things you should know first: - You have to register there (accounts here will NOT carry over)
- Initially, you will be a newb
- I CAN CHANGE POST COUNTS, so no worries there
- I CAN EDIT... well... basically anything about a profile (cash, name, pass, etc...)
there's probably more things... but it's basically a new forum, with no posts. I can leave this forum open, for reference to all previous posts, but otherwise it will be a fresh start. Let me know your opinion, DON'T JUST VOTE!! Now, on to the link: acff-forums.freehostia.com/index.php |

I think it's fine because it can potentially make the league easier for the admins, mods, as well as the architects themselves.
There's little reason for NOT seeking an easier and more accessible alternative.

Eh, I still have my doubts about this.
Yes, it does look like it could be improvement over this board, but then we lose everything that we've established here... lol... it's going to be harder to get off to a fresh start.

we can have the mods hold a hyperlink in their Signature, so any new members can register to both boards, this one doesn't have to die, we can always just merge the board together...we DO have two admins lol

I would have to vote no.
I don't think anyone would be willing to discard this forum. Everything we need it right here, having two forums would just complicate things.

we wouldn't have 2 forums. The new one would become the main forum, while this one could be just for reference, but posting would be prohibited.

Two reasons:
I've wanted to do it for a while, but didn't have the resources, and thought that the phpBB forums was expensive, when it was actually free
And the other forum is much more flexible than proboards. I'm not really limited in the functions I can add, apart from the storage space alloted by the server. Along with that, the shop will function as it is supposed to, as compared to here, where it doesn't display items correctly and has trouble with money and such

i say that updating now over PHp will save us the trouble switching later when there is more stuff to migrate more meber to re-register .. i say now !!! so we will have less trouble later but that just my opinion lol |

I've always had a strong bias in favor of phpBB, I say we move. It would mean a lot of work, but it's already there for the most part.

We would only move after I get everything ready. There's no point in moving from a functional forum to one in development. That would just slow things down in the league.

I voted nay just now for the heck of it, even though the outcome is most likely decided already.
Thinking about it, I think moving the forum shakes up the league a lot... people have to create new accounts, move their designer hangars, resubmit applications, etc...
A whole lot of work..
