Battle 1: Caesar vs. Oblivion II
Battleground: Aros Highland- same as will be in tournament

Time-19 seconds

Description: In the open plains of the Aros Highland, Oblivion II was an easy target for Caesar's CHIMERA energy cannon. Repeated shots wore down the bidped easily, resulting in a quick win. However, Oblivion was not without it's good points: it knocked off 5000 AP from Caesar without stopping. This was just a battle of power. Oblivion also had three heat warnings, 1 dangerous temp warning, and 4 seconds spent in emergency cooling.

Battle 2: Caesar vs. Oblivion II
Battleground: Aros Highland - Same as will be in tourny
Winner: Caesar- 2037 AP
Loser: Oblivion II
Time: 24 seconds

Description: Oblivion II got in many more hits this time, most of them at the beginning. Once Caesar got a lock on with Ogre, however, it started to get bad for Oblivion. While he managed to keep up for a short time, Oblivion II was soon blasted into oblivion. However, juding by the much closer results, Oblivion is far from a bad mech. However, it did have more temperature warnings and an "output down" message, requiring a cooling time of 10 seconds, which was almost half the match.

Battle 3: Caesar vs. Oblivion II (Final Match)
Battleground: Aros Highland
Winner: Caesar 2481 AP
Loser: Oblivion II
Time: 26 seconds

Description: An even closer match, Caesar spent half of it at lower AP than his opponent. However, consecutive hits with the Ogre and CHIMERA weapons were unstoppable yet again, and Oblivion II fell, though valiantly. Oblivion II utilized all of his weaponry, including a last-ditch Harpy assault on Caesar knocked off a last few hundred. Perhaps if the attack had been earlier it could have done more...

Overall:
Caesar: 3 wins, 0 losses
Oblivion II: 0 wins, 3 losses.

Final Notes: Oblivion II needs better temperature and energy control. With that, along with a more powerful arm weapon, it would have stood a much better chance against such a powerhouse. Also, more jumping wouldn't hurt, if the use of the booster did not run the risk of creating too much heat.

Battle 1: Caesar vs. XLAR
Battleground: Aros Highland
Winner- Caesar- 2473 AP

Time- 28 seconds

Description: Caesar was unable to begin his fatal consecutive blasts until he was able to shake XLAR off long enough to get a lock-on without being blasted by XLAR's missiles. The AP just kept dropping for a while, with Caesar barely in the lead. About half of the way through, XLAR ducked behind a raised rock area and recovered some heat/energy, but it wasn't enough. 2 heat warnings, 2 danger temp warnings, 14 seconds emergency cool time. No energy charge time.

Battle II: Caesar vs. XLAR
Battleground: Aros Highland
Winner:Caesar - 368 AP
Loser: XLAR (but not really a loser, this should be a tie.)
Time:39 seconds

Description: This was a very close match. XLAR started off with a nice barrage of missiles and kept it coming by charging forward to eliminate Caesar's high-ground advantage and by swerving left and right to knock Caesar's lock off. Towards the end, XLAR managed to get up close and personal and blasted Caesar apart, knocking off over 2500 AP from Caesar before losing his last 2000. This was a promising battle for team ACG. Caesar had 5 heat warnings, but 0 time cooling or recharging. XLAR had 1 heat warning, and spent 10 seconds in emergency cooling. Caesar also used all of the ammunition in his Ogre plasma rifle and half in his CHIMERA. XLAR used nearly all of his ammo in both weapons.

This was a tie. Had you been a little more to the left, you would have hit me with your last rockets and we would have both lost, or you would have won.

Battle III: Caesar vs. XLAR
Battleground: Aros Highland
Winner: Caesar - 4110 AP left
Loser: XLAR
Time:29 seconds

Description: This battle was not so good for XLAR. Caesar maintained a high-ground advantage by backing up when XLAR approached, and when XLAR managed to ascend to Caesar's level, Caesar had a full lock on and hit XLAR with a large full-frontal blast. After that, XLAR ducked back down and Caesar followed, blasting his retreating opponent relentlessly. The battle was ended a little more quickly, and with a not-so-close loss for team ACG. XLAR had 3 heat warnings and a 10second cooling time.

Final Description: XLAR is promising. With a few adjustments, he should be able to climb through the ranks once the league starts, and he might even get a head start in this tournament, depending on what opponent he faces. Try to work on cooling, it really does cause problems.

XLAR is the first one I made and I think he does better without the chip. I haven't really used any chips but I might start to (right now I'm trying to make my AC to use the OB and boosters).

It used it's ob all the time, and like a pro too!

Shear, could you please explain just what the overboost is? I know it has something to do with moving more/faster, but the game does not have a good description, or I have not found it.

If you wanna test out OB, just equip an OB care and go into a battle manually. When the match starts tap D-Pad right

without having to try it out, the OB can be described thus:

It's a function, alotted to some cores, that allows the equipped AC to move at it's maximum speed given it's current weight and status. It is only available when you have energy to spare, and it drains that energy VERY fast. Not only that, but it produces HUGE amounts of heat when used, so you need to be aware of that.
It can be used In a variety of way, including moving into colse range to the opponent, running away from an opponent, or dogding enemy attacks. It makes things easy to dogde because of the high velocities involded.

You can tell when it is used by the opponent when you hear a sort of charging sound. A bright light appears behind the, user, gradually growing brighter, then they dash with unbelievable speed in any direction but back.


I'm not sure if that captures it all, but the simplified version is that it makes you move REALLY fast.

Most AI setups don't handle OB very well, others make it seem that they were designed to use it. It's a gamble to equip one, seeing as the AI may or may not be able to utilize it to it's full potential.
