I think ive worked out a decently viable flamethrower build... using dual Nachirins... took inspiration from Shear's Orphan, it works pretty well, but it depends a bit on luck.
Name: Smoulder Head: CR-H98XS-EYE2 5:5:X:X:X Core: CR-C90U3 10:X:X:X:X Arms: CR-A92XS 10:X:X:X:X Legs: LH09-COUGAR2 X:X:X:X:10 Booster: CR-B90T2 :X:10:X FCS: CR-F73H Generator: Gundari :X:10:X Radiator: Ragora :X:X:10 Inside: Remove Equip Extension: Anoku BUR: Remove Equip BUL: Remove Equip AUR: NICHIRIN AUL: NICHIRIN HUR: CR-WH69H HUL: CR-WH69H

Re-done version of Smoulder featuring similar burning capabilities with greatly improved firepower due to several ranged attacks. Are you sure you want to have the KUJAKU on that AC? if you ever run into some high-powered ACs you'll be the one to burn first, how about trying GUNDARI with ANANDA? Your AC don't have high e-drain parts so I think it can handle the energy by itself.

High energy drain = anoku. 1 sec = roughly 12k energy gone.

I find the Kujaku to have little trouble against "high-powered AC's," as my dreadlock sported it and did fine against a variety of opponents during the biped tourney. Plus, the R02 cooling that the new Smoulder has will take care of the overheating problems that it may encounter pretty adeptly, although I would go with the CR92 or Ragora with most of my designs.
Another thing, the Gundari's a lot heavier, which kind of counters bakabum's strategy in making Smoulder a speedy build (hence the Anoku).

The reason I suggested GUNDARI is because of the low calorific value, while I myself like to have speed on my ACs I have to think of the consiquences of overheating, Bazookas, grenade launchers, and some energy weapons do generate heat, now if you add that with the booster heat, what do you get?
But, should I want a fast AC with quick energy regeneration I'd get the KONGOH or USASAMA after making sure the cooling is high enough for the AI to handle.

Tried that =D, i just happen to find this abit more effective if i actually take a hit or two... so i dont lose all my energy at once and go into charging.

Thats why my AC is tuned more for quick bursts of jumping, usually side to side, rather than full on dashing, which both drains my energy damn fast, and leaves me with pretty high heat.

The USUSAMA is what i originally had it at. I have considered it, i think both have pros and cons... USUSAMA's craptastic energy capacity is what makes me dislike it.

low capacity mean fast energy regeneration, keep that in mind.

i know, but low capacity also means less anoku, and with biped legs, i NEED the anoku.

oh well, you have your own and I have mine, but you should break the wall that's holding you back from doing a complete new set-up.

Lol, i dont think any of my AC's have "usual" weapon setups... If anything, the only thing between my builds that is similar, is the good cooling/speed =D thats about it. I build around being able to dodge attacks...
