These are my Near Newest to date Versions of Ominis and Ominia. These Versions have been Unused and I don't Quite know how they will Fair. Plus I'm not sure everything is right about them.

These are also the same ones that will (Hopefully) soon make an apperance in Leaq and Dark's Fanfic, Orphan's Legacy.

Boredom Chapter 1 Version 1


Boredom.

The most mind-numbing thing that could happen to a person. More so then cheesy country music.

And he had an abundance of it.

So did everyone in his family. No one could sit still long enough for a desk job. Or do anything that was even remotely repetitive.

But in true genetic fashion, that would put Darwin to shame, every other Generation would be more influenced to this along with other quirks. That’s why his Grandparents and Great GREAT grandparents were Ravens on the father’s side. Some of the others were Ravens at one point too but didn’t have the knack of it and/or went on to do something else.

And it was all thanks to the GGG. (Pronounced as “Triple G”, is Great Great Grandfather)

Frigin idiot decided to get his genes messed around with to be a better Raven.

Well at least the good stuff traveled down hill instead of the sh*t. I mean he or his children could of have mutant babies that would have been such abominations that you had to put a bag on their heads and a second on yours incase if the first one broke.

But back to the current generation.

John was walking through his family Hanger. Again. Taking the usual route that took about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

It was a hanger that put the word BIG to shame. It’s a Facility from before the Great Destruction. It was striped of anything good and was abandoned. GG (Pronounced as “Double G”, is Great Grandfather) used the family fortune to fix it up to be an AC Base.

A Fortress is more like it. Made out of the side of a mountain. Though you can only really see the giant doors on the outside. (And a smaller one for people, cars, supplies and such)

GG named it “The House Of Generations”. We just call it Home.

It has enough living quarters for about 20 separate people and the Repair crews. (We have our own) It also has recreation areas and a cafeteria. (You serve yourself)

It’s able to hold up to 50 ACs. Currently only holding 18. 12 of them are family built ACs. 6 of them are from “friends” of the family. 3 of which are still living. 2 of them are still Ravens. The one that isn’t is a friend of Grandfather and retired.

This is also Not including the area that holds the MTs from before we got our licenses to be a Raven. Or any that we thought were just too cool and had to bring them home. (We destroy everything else in the area and finish the Mission then we give the lone MT Pilot an Ultimatum of leaving the MT or die inside it . . . It works.)

And of coarse, his favorite, the 4 Upside down AC Core Units with only heads, arms, and FCS holding Hi-Powered Energy Sniper Weapons in each hand. They are used as sentry guns for intruders. Their energy and cooling come from the Generator and Temperature Control of the facility. The AI in the heads are programmed to shoot if the AC or MT entering is not an identified user of the hanger. (They get a warning not to proceed right outside the door. For that matter they are told to leave for trespassing before they are even in the general area of the place)

You should have seen the last time the Garage was “broken” into. (We leave the big doors unlocked and turn off the warnings and wait on the upper decks sitting in a set of prearranged recliners eating popcorn when we get a tip that we are about to be attacked for some reason)

The AC only got 3 steps into the place.

They started shooting at 2.

You would think some people would start to do stuff like that more often after seeing how a Single raven could take out a whole base. And if your wondering the Parts and weapons are upgraded when better ones come out.

The best thing about them is how they track ACs and MTs that are “Guests” when they enter. They slowly rotate with the guns pointed right at the “Guest”. You can only wish you could see the pilots face when they see them on their monitors. Probably mixed expression of Dread and WTF?!

My grandparents had an AC Pilot try to convince them he was a friend to get inside. His plan was the to kill them and destroy everything once he was aloud in. The poor guy didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t win against basically 6 ACs. And as long he was inside he couldn’t do anything out of the ordinary or they would attack. So he just blurted out the whole plan and surrendered. He is the friend of Grandfather that’s still Living. His name is Ivan.

Two of the ones that no longer live were friends of GG.

The other was one of John’s.

He went solo on a mission that was more difficult then the ESR (Estimated Survival Rate) they gave made you think it would be. An all too common occurrence in this world. He was to do a joint attack of lightly defended outposts to keep a certain corporation from guessing another certain corporation’s movements in the area. Unfortunately the outpost that he got had a Higher Ranking Raven defending it.

But to his credit he manage to defeat the other Raven but was too damage to resist the forces of the outpost long enough to escape. We manage to retrieve his AC. But he died from shrapnel from an exploding monitor.

We always try to go on missions with back up when we can. What we do is we make mission requests to each other for 1000 Credits (Chicken Scratch) with the Mission info always reading . . .

“Need support for a mission. You are to follow my instructions during your service for I can’t divulge any info about my mission. You are also ordered to forget everything you have seen or heard after completion of the mission”

This way we are not in violation of any rules. We always get nasty looks from the operators at the Ravens Nest when we do this. But since we aren’t doing anything technically Illegal we don’t get in trouble.

But back to John.

Again.

Finishing up his walk and going back to the command room John looked to see if any new missions appeared.

He saw one.
