No pics this time, as Tailsnake’s PSP is broken. I’m sure the results are less exciting with the release of the prelims, but… here goes:
Round 2
Battle 1
Grid 1: Snapdragon
Grid 2: Valkyrie
It was do or die for both architects, who were down to their last AC. Sinner was relying on his dragon to take home the cup… while Dark wasn’t sure of his trash bin named “Valkyrie” would last another round. And so, the battle commenced.
Snapdragon glided swiftly over the waters, pounding its opponent with a flurry of solid and energy shots. Valkyrie countered with some peryton blasts of its own, slowly but surely changing the difference between their AP counts.
Tragedy struck for Valkyrie as it ran out of energy from the intense heat of the battle. It then resorted to hiding behind the pillars, switching to its solid hanger units to win the day. Inevitably, Snapdragon stalked it opponent, not letting it escape the wrath of powerful handguns. Valkyrie’s counters were just as effective with their blinding rate of fire. Neither would let go of their assault as they boosted in front of each other, exchanging fire like there was no tomorrow. Snapdragon spotted a moment of weakness, attempting to hit Valkyrie with an energy blade, but the powerful wave missed.
This was the last, and greatest moment of the dragon; for it was slain in the next hail of solid shells.

Grid 2 Final AP: 2470
Winner: Valkyrie
Battle 2
Grid 1: Coldflash
Grid 2: The Exalted
This one takes the cake for THE most unpredictable outcome of Round 2. Coldflash took its time in the fight, literally jogging to its opponent while unleashing a barrage of pulse blasts. The Exalted matched each and every one of these blasts with ones of its own, and they fought each other in a semi circle as if to match grace with their seemingly vicious assaults. The Exalted’s relatively speedy movements saved it from the large brunt of Coldflash’s assaults… and yet they came too fast and too frequently for comfort.
The Exalted was never able to secure its lead on its tough shelled opponent…that is until the very last moments of the battle. It switched to dual solid handguns and fired at Coldflash with all its might, stopping the blue AC dead in its tracks. Coldflash was unable to move quickly from the heat. Then in all the came to the wire when the damge they took was relatively equal to each other. Coldflash had finally dropped to 0561AP while the Exalted had a mere 197AP… and clung onto it for the rest of the battle. In the end, the Exalted’s faster rate of fire saved it from imminent destruction.

Grid 2 Final AP: 22
Winner: The Exalted
Battle 3
Grid 1: GraniteRun
Grid 2: Blacklash
Once again, Blacklash did not fail to surprise in this battle. An armored AC to the very core, it took everything that GraniteRun had to offer and spat it right back out. GraniteRun jumped repeatedly while utilizing the highest heat handguns; a deadly combo that would be effective against most ACs; except Blacklash. In an amazing feat, the dark AC boosted all the way to the tower’s height and unleashed a rain of bullets onto GraniteRun, who could not counterattack. Then, it landed back down when both ACs were on equal footing again. It wasn’t long, though, before GraniteRun wasn’t able to keep up with Blacklash’s moderate shots.
The battle was 2177AP to 6017; a vast difference. Blacklash shot moderately but efficiently; effectively destroy the opponent with AP to spare.

Grid 1 Final AP: 0
Grid 2 Final AP: 5095
Winner: Blacklash
Battle 4
Grid 1: Neon Rat
Grid 2: The Infinate
A battle of epic proportions was held today: between the tournament brutes Neon Rat and the Infinate. Neon Rat dashed in with dual energy bursts, but the Infinate was able to escape the onslaught unscathed. Using its superior agility, the white AC ran circles all over the rodent numerous times. Despite this, it ran out of energy at the most unexpected moment, after relying on boosters like a crutch. Luckily for it, Neon Rat had its back turned, desperately searching for the opponent. When they both were finally face to face, the Infinate already had more than half the AP that the rat did. Everything was extremely tense from then on, as the Rat made a vicious comeback with furious forced actions… but alas, the Infinate was able to destroy its opponent with a signature energy blade slash.

Battle 5

Grid 2: Itself
The AC called Chimp walked into the stadium. It tried to shoot itself but couldn’t because its arms were too short.
Then it walked out.
