...it surprised me too, but don't get mad at me...blame my PSP?
The same kind of thing happened during the lightweight tourney, Atrum. Tailsnake's Infinate killed my Blacklash in around 4 out of every 5 matches (don't remember how many times I tested), and Tailsnake's tests were 2-0 in favor of Infinate, but when the battle that counted came, Blacklash won because Infinate got stuck in the pillars for a few seconds too many.

. . . but it still doesn't bring back the pibb . . .
lol but still the shooting through the pillars thing just doesn't feel right, I never saw that before.

Well, I actually thought you were upset, so I was just trying to offer you a similar scenario so that you can relate to it...although I don't think Golden would like to hear about it anymore.
No more calling Tailsnake "Tailsnake," for me at least, so that I can lead the revolution in calling him "Golden" again, like how Magus became DarkEffigy again.

Well I AM upset. Wouldn't you be if your favert AC decided to do a totally dumass move when it really counted? I mean if I won I could have gotten at the very least the forth place winnings. I just very upset of the trying to shoot through the walls. I have not seen that in ANY of the testing I did.
And the Pibb thing too. That did happen today. I actully stood there in the middle of the store looking at were the machince was for a bit of time . . . That was me and my freinds FAVERET soda. And it was the only place that we know of that had it within a 10 mile radis.
We herd rumors of a fountin machine with Pibb at a Wawa a bit out of ways. Me and my freind are going to go for a short road trip there Monday night lol.

Well...I repeated the matches...and Ominia DID win a lot more..though it DOES have problems with overheating and not using the Jiren on time. That happened twice more, not counting the actual Semifinals match. Overall, though, it was able to dominate Skorp. But sorry man, I can't just replace a match like that.

lol I was only wondering about the shooting through the pillars thing. I wasn't saying to redo the match for the tourney lol. Though I did call for a rematch before but I was just really upset at the moment. I'm better now lol.

So Croc will be facing Omnia for 10 000 credits, I guess I could use those ;D

uh....actually, Skorp has to face e-X-cetusy in the finals, so you'll be facing either Skorp or e-X-cetusy, depending who wins. I believe Croc made it as the runner-up for the Crest bracket.

Well I'm probably going to end up going to University of Pensylvania so I've already got that decided. With my destination out of the way the only thing I should miss after highschool are my friends.

Uh....an hour or so before the prom, so I'm keeping this short.
MIRAGE FINALS
Grid 1: e-X-cetusy Grid 2: Skorp
X was much too fast for Skorp and was able to use it to the fullest advantage, landing multiple Cetus and Coral shots at Skorp and taking only a few Spirit and Wyrm hits. Skorp had a hard time keeping up with X's strafing motion, and fell victim to the high heat induced by X's weapons.
Length: 23s X won with 4352 AP ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
INTERBRACKET RUNNER UPS' MATCH
Grid 1: Crocodile Grid 2: Skorp
CROCODILE WAS SIMPLY AMAZING. It kept a sniper-like range from Skorp, and was able to hit Skorp with over 90% of its shots, even with a shallow-range lock. It didn't take a single hit for a very long time, because the MOS-2 it was using made it perform very impressive jumps. It was when Crocodile decided to approach Skorp that the tide started to turn, as Skorp began to bombard Crocodile with missles, Spirit and Wyrm shots. Crocodile's low defense didn't help, and both AC's AP was within 4000. Crocodile did not falter, and backed up a little more, after learning its lesson, and nailed Skorp with a napalm rocket. Skorp overheated, and can only fire wyrm and missle shots. Crocodile still had plenty of ammo left in its rifles, and decimated Skorp seconds later.
Length: 34s Crocodile won with 2270 AP left
Crocodile places 3rd place in the tournament. Skorp places 4th place in the tournament. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
THE INTERBRACKET FINALS MATCH - BATTLE OF THE WEAPON-ARMS, HOHOSHI v. CORAL
Stage: Grand Arena
Grid 1: from Crest, bz-OVERLORD Grid 2: from Mirage, e-X-cetusy
Both AC's were trying to circle and find each other most of the time, because they had near-equal boost power, and fired relentlessly at each other the SECOND there was something in their lock. X's coral was instrumental in breaking the seemingly tied match, as it stunned bz and made it dead meat for X's high heat Cetus shots. e-X-cetusy knocked the lights out of bz. I seriously thought that bz would win with the HOHOSHI, but I guess not, since X has dual Siren2's...
Length: 39s e-X-cetusy places 1st, and won with 6672 AP. bz-OVERLORD places 2nd.

Meh, you guys get prom/graduation early... proms not until a week later over here.
I thought bz would win too since the bazooka arms seem powerful, but I guess overheating can't be underestimated. We need to update the hall of fame; and congrats for becoming a 3X champ.
I think its safe to say that you are one of our vets.

Post by Purist on May 20, 2006 19:32:16 GMT -5
heh...thanks Dark.
I was going to mod Deadlock with those bz arms to defeat Blue Eyes, Tamer, and Cerberus not so long ago, but since Animesou left, I saw no use for them (lost motivation, plus rainmaker's V2 mods have made it more powerful since then..and the new AI sounds scary) until this tournament came around and I saw the disadvantages that both teams have, so I decided to use weapon arms, which grants an AC an insane amount of extra speed and great firepower. Some famous inside weapons topped them off.
Vet...I wouldn't say so just yet, because I don't make "revolutionary" designs, and a lot of the vets here have signature designs that they're known for.

Oh ya... I guess that pattern is true (ex. shear's Widower, rain's Cerberus). Though, you are definitely a capable competitor. Innovative designs are great, but how you make good use of tourney limits is what makes you a champ .
