Oh, really? I wasn't able to get AC:FF international until the prelim thread started to get maybe around 70 or 80 posts. I was able to check out the sniper tourney for one or two days, before the topic was deleted, and the quad leg a little longer. 'Never knew I may have a chance to catch up to shear's record...heh, but unfortunately he hasn't competed in neither of these tourney's.
Oh yeah, Magus, can I try out micro missles on an AC I'm working on? Not sure if I'll use the WH05BP, though, but I might, so again it might be taken as a clone. But it's best if I got permission.

Yeah, go right ahead.
I still plan on revising Rook after this, though.

Thanks.
I just hope they don't look 'identical,' but since I've never used micro missles, and I'm very interested in them, I'll try it out, and give you the proper credit if I post it up.

Ah....thanks for the records..unfortunately, I totally missed out on watching the original and blade tourneys, and I guess there was no sniper tourney, only an exchange of sniper builds. What went on in the Original tourney, meaning, was it just...any build welcome?

Yup, even the LX.
I was really, really amateurish back then lol. Rainmaker was the only one with an LX build, but it was defeated by TS's then-dual nichirin wielding Hell AC.

I've only seen Cerberus V2...but I hear a lot of talk about Rainmaker's LX user. What was it like? LX+WH05BP, or more aggressive with the Karasawa? And did it come with a HOHOSHI (since you said Rainmaker popularized it in some thread a while back).
Edit: I'm sure it was a tank.

I think rainmaker popularized hohshi with cerberus, it was actually posted quite a while back (maybe around the time of the quad tourney..?) but before then I didnt hear of any builds using that inside part.
And Rainmaker's infamous tank build was OMEGA, I'm not sure if anyone has the build anymore. It had a couple modifications, but it always had the ability to decimate the ingame opponents in mere seconds, with energy/AP to spare. A lot of people used it, and a lot of people tried to surpass it too.
It was back then what Widower probably is today. The first build had a hornet head, cr-c83ua core, LX, the low-drain tank bottom (cant recall the name at the moment), karasawa, and other parts obviously which I cant remember.
Later it was modified but the most drastic changes were probably the hi-queen head and griffon-arm part, from what I can recall.

Blade Winner: Shear Runner Up: AnimeSou (Ragnarok)
Ragnarok was a high speed, cheap hover core with side energy shields

Ah...interesting history. It's just that I always hear about Rainmaker's AC on the boards that I got so curious, and I thought that since it has the bad-a$$ reputation, it must've came with the HOHOSHI as well.
Edit: Haha, animesou, by 'cheap hover core' you mean the last leg part on the list, the one with the the four "petals"?
2nd Edit: I'm loving the large font.

It didn't have the hohshi at that time.
You could say it was the build that gave the LX it's pasts bans/present restrictions.
Edit: And sorry about that misconception, anime. How could we forget Ragnarok?

Eh, just some emotional distress carried over from our current residential status. I'm in danger of moving to a crime-filled neighborhood under SF Public Housing. I think building AC's is a huge force in giving me SOME optimism in life.

final match
grid 1:Axel evo grid 2:d-R-eadlock
Both ACs stared eachother down in the newly build grand arena. Dreadlock with a smirk of assurement of its victory. While Axel stood not fearing the fearsome Dreadlock. Both ACs charged at each other giving it their alls. Dreadlock's heavy armor proved to be its strong point. Axel's only way to victory was its heat weapons. Both ACs danced around the arena blasting at away at its foe. Immediately into the battle Dreadlock took the lead. Its dual bazookas showed to be a combo Axel couldn't deal with. Suddenly, Axel hit a sweet spot and Dreadlock overheated. Dreadlock then launched off an ecm maker. Axel's system went highwire and proved to be the major cause of its defeat. Brutually beaten into the ground Axel accepted its defeat.
grid 1:0000 grid 2:3091 time: 20s winner: DREADLOCK
