I just tried Wyverns of Land and Sky (Silver Los, Gold Ian arena match) I got wyvern comboed to deth in the first few seconds of getting into the arena by Ian

or get like 5 mega juice and normal juice and just stand and guard.Rathalos will die first always he has alot less HP then Ian so try that it work for me.That was a cheap way to win xD

I think this all boils down to one simple thing:

Pen1s Envy. (period)

Lancers and Gsers can't agree to who's overcompensating more.

Thats why SnS users never get picked on, everyone knows their hung like Lao.

Lances are my second favorite, but what the HELL is this sidestepping i hear about? all i can do is that stupid little hop backwards...

That IS the "famous" sidestepping.

so turn and then hit X to do a SORT of sidestep? cuz you REALLY cant sidestep >_> thats a backwards hop.

you really can't dodge at all as a lancer I tried sidestepping with the hop but it doesn't seem to work (only actually tried once), focus on defending rather than evading

Ah, and my most hated wyvern attack is the tail whip thingy... hard to dodge in the middle of a lance/sword combo >_<

Tailwhip, Sidecheck, and Rath Charges are all damn near impossible to dodge while in the middle of a close range attack

fortunately, if i stay and try to hit the wyvern btw the legs, right underneath, i can tell just about when its goign to do a turn, then i just dodge towards it.

The sidestep is just there for if your moving form lets say The head of the monster to its wings.You do your 3hit combo and hold the analog to the left or right which ever way you want to go and then hit X.I use it just to move form the wings to the head or i sidestep and hop back 2 times and guard.
