For the MH hardcore players out there, how do I get a monster bone+1?

Rathalos is so freaking hard... beat it once and now, it's kicking my a?? all over the zones... d**n it.

How do you set up traps, anyway?

I have been experimenting with bowguns, kinda good, but lacks power.

I want a clean shot at it's head with a explosive round.

which rathalos are you fighting now? The urgent mission one?

Edit: You can get Monster Bone + from 4* kut-ku and gycerops in the gathering hall

what weapon are you trying to get? If it's the halbred forget it, it's too dull to use effectively against wyverns.

What is the most efficient way to get a Poisoned Axe? I prefer to use short swords, and right now I'm a pathetic owner of an assasin dagger (I don't know remember if it's in + status).

On another note... I was trying to kill Rathalos with a BG, ATT of 240, with all the ammos you can buy from the shops, both lvl 1 and lvl 2 ammos. I used them all, and was only able to get Rathalos life down to about 20%. It creeps into the cave and sleep. >_<

I think it's trying to restore it's health, right?

How do you set up traps anyway? I was thinking about a clust lvl 3 + large barrel attack...

Rathalos is a real pain.

I'm aiming for the +1 armors and more powerful weapons that requires the MB+1.

The velociprey keep killing me once I get the Rath to sleep level

clear them out first. My only problem now is Time. BGs dont seem to have enough power to take it out.

The next step is the large-barrel + BGs. I think I will get him this time, then it's time to give his girlfriend a beating.

It is a GS, it's actually weaker than my old GS but it has more sharpnessand seems to swing a little faster.

I gotta tell ya though... that rathalos gave me hell... 40+minutes to kill it... all with just the cyclone dual blade

I'm trying to make the Gradios dual blade but I need to kill some Rathalos and Rathians before I can make it. What's even more interesting right now is the Iron Katana's Upgrade: Eager Cleaver 720 Damage, 420 Lighing Elemental Damage - That's crazy, I need that sword.

this is off head:
35 Machillite ores (it was hell getting the 15 that it took to make the Iron Katana)
20 or so Earth Crystals (I still have 11 from Iron Katana upgrade)
2 Lightning Sacs (Need to kill the Khezu, lightning Dragon, to get these)

Khezu isn't that hard, you should be able to kill him if you can kill the rath - He's in the 4* missions
