The problem with limiting the viewing of designs to just the Staff is that participants in the league have nothing to go on when making their ACs. If we did limit the viewing, the battles per week would also have to be reduced so that those who write the battle reviews can do it more in depth, and with less creativity.

maybe so, but it's going to be tough, since you're going to be fighting blindly, because you need to test your ACs against your opponent or you might end up fighting something like Omega when you least expect it.

How about a tourny where someone posts an AC with the head, core, arms, legs, booster, radiator, generator, all with tuning. And people have to enter it with an FCS and what weapons/optionals/AI they want.
Of course the posted frame woudl Have to leave tons of room for people to use high damage weapons, or underweight it a lot to keep it mobile.

That was rainmaker's second idea, or, rather, it's something similar. He was thnking about building an AC and then making the entrants be responsible for the AI, and maybe weapons. But your frame-provided tourney idea is another keeper, and maybe if you're not as busy after the AI tourney finishes (assuming it even gets started), maybe you can even host it.
!!!! Rainmaker !!!! I think that we should make the AI ENTIRELY random so that you and I can join this tourney.
If we create an AI...then it might give us an unfair advantage. So...what do you think?

lol, okay rainmaker. I'm going to make 3 sets of 1-16 tabs, put them in a hat, and draw out three.
Hopefully you can do that too.
Then, when we have six, I'll just shove the six numbers into a hat and draw them out in order, and that'll be the final 6, in order of range..action...dash...jump...run...attack/defense. Sound retarded/easy enough?
Edit: I can pretty much run it on a computer or something...but I like the thrill of drawing numbers out of a hat.

MHF is hard beyond my greatest expectations...
And good luck with Rathalos...I've never faced it but I assume it's a terrifying wyvern, and I haven't even tried touching a ku-tu yet.
Anyway, rainmaker, I got the numbers. 7, -5, and -13. I'll wait for your three, then maybe we can ask for a fellow forum member to randomly draw the final six and give us the order. I think we should request for someone else to do the drawing so that it doesn't look like we rigged anything to our advantage. Perhaps a mod can do it for us.

from the first three numbers I expect it to be either a:
-Long range energy weapon AC.
-Quad or Tank AC ( with what I think has long range weapons... like a linear? range 7 is perfect for it. )

They're not in order yet...so 7 might or might not be the number for range. Hey, it might end up being the number for run or jump or something...and if it's for run, that'll spell trouble.

Yian Garuga was scary the first time I saw it. I'm using the Silver Serpent blade currently but I plan to switch to the Iron Katana Gospel once I can find a few more ores. I'm also heading for a Gradios Dual Sword, I wanna try to build a decent lance a little later in the game to take out the ReoHart and ReoSoul.

I got the Kut-Ku armour a while ago, I'm going to strart aiming for the Rathalos set after I kill it and start harvesting it's body parts
