I am hoping for the AI tourney were the Numbers for the AI is pick out of a hat. The best design that can kick ass with the Random AI wins.

Well....we don't have to make the fee TOO high, or, unaffordable for people. I guess we can vote or talk about a lower amount instead, but that will only make the prize reward smaller.

I liked the idea of the mod of this tourny building the AC then everyone else decides the AI for the design.

Or....the host (or mod) making the AI and then having the entrants build AC's with it.
I was also thinking about making a part-specific tourney, especially with regards to weapons and restrictions. Who wouldn't want a missle-only tournament? Hm? Anyone?
Bleh...excuse me for my silliness. I think that rainmaker's idea is most interesting though and will generate the most creativity, so I guess I'll just have to kill my other suggestions. I'm totally for it.
I already have ideas on how to make the "random AI." Instead of just having one person pick out of a hat, I think I should make polls where I list the number values out (without specifying which stat the number is going to represent), come up with a weird equation to punch the received numbers into, and come out with a final number betwen -16 and 16. That way, the people on this board are SOMEWHAT responsible for the AI that's going to be featured.

I'm more for the Mod making the AI not the Design. If the mod makes a design we will all most likely Make AIs very close to each other and I can't see finding a way to see which is better. When ever I did AI changes I used to have the New AI battle the Old AI with the same design. The results were too random. Ether AC could win since they were still the same. The battles were still mostly based on luck, who ever got the first few shots won.

May I speak my opinion...
While I like the idea of having an AI tune to build an AC around it, I expect maybe that someone might aim for powerful weapons or something like the HOHSHI, since - as I see it - it can do fine even without tunes, or am I wrong?
So, and I know someone might hate me for this, I would suggest putting some part restrictions.
Edit: If you want my opinion for future tournament then, mine would be: Weapon Arms on two legged ACs tournament, or as a title: "Master of Weapon Arms."
Rules: -This tournament is strictly for two legged ACs, light, medium, heavy and reverse joints.
-I'm going to go ahead and ban the BZ, BZL and CETUS.
-Solid EOs are banned as well.
-Finally the HOHSHI, SYAMANA, Napalm Rockets for inside, JIREN and SAISUI extensions.

Honestly, that's what I prefer, but that's too hard for most people to swallow.
But left arm weapons is too much, if you say left are guns that would be more precise.

Part-focused tourney's is another acceptable idea, although one that focuses on AI seems to be more innovative.
But from what moonwalker has said, a tourney based on bans might not be as appealing...though there are ways around it. You CAN focus on a certain weapon type of weapon itself. Maybe a sawa tourney where the Jiren and Saisui, and perhaps even the Orchid, is banned.
But still, the thing about tourney's with a high number of restrictions is that although it ups the difficulty and forces people to be "creative," it will still make people search for the next best weapon on the list. If you ban nade launchers and bazookas, chances are people will use shotguns and rifles more often. Then the cycle will continue until everything is "banned" except the parrying blade and shield.

Heh heh... unless people make amazing AI with parrying blades (like perhaps Joker) then the matches would be amusing with the ACs poking at the air endlessly.

But nah....I'll ask shear about the AI tourney once rainmaker and I get a chance to polish everything

bleh....I'm sure that we'll allow you to join, with or without credits. Your decision to not join the league because of the credit system should be respected, so I think you should be welcomed to the tourney. Since the AI tourney is rainmaker's, and I think he's a pretty nice guy, you can most likely join. Or else I'll let you, heh.
Edit: Again, it's all about the participation, because that's what makes the contest fun.

Edit: Again, it's all about the participation, because that's what makes the contest fun. There's no fun seeing your AC getting beaten by a HOHSHI user or dual BPs, now is there?

I still want a dual gunning ban.
nvm, without dual gunning weapon arms become near-godly

maybe but most lack ammo to be too deadly, for example: BZ/BZL, only way they can be deadly is at close range, and they fire more than a single round so it makes their ammo even less, unlike the BP, those thing can hit at almost any range.
