d**n Rathalos, drop 13 large bomb barrels on him + a whole lot of ammos from normal to clust lvl 3. And it's still ALIVE!!! I died again. I think I might go back to GS.

btw, what beast fashion are you guys sporting? I am trying to get the kut-ku K set. So close.

Rathalos is beatable during the first wyver egg hunt quest from the chief, for me. But I haven't been able to take it down in the guild quest (*** or ****) at all.

I beat Rathalos using the following items:

5x Flash Bombs
3x Pitfall Traps
3x Psychoserum
10x Potions (usually don't use them all)
(X) Whetstones (as many as I can bring or have)
(X) Well Done Meat (as many as I can bring or have)
3x Paint Berry
All of the quest provided Items I can carry (extra flash bombs saved for later)
999x Luck and Patience elixer
1x Cheap Tactic Bag


Here's how the fight usually starts:
Prepare for the fight by consuming a well done meat. The locate the rath via psychoserum. Once found and in the area, set pitfall trap, switch to flash bomb, and piss off the wyvern. Get it to chase me blindly towards the trap, and inevitably it succeeds in trapping the dumb thing. Run up, whip out Dual Blades (Cyclone), power-up with R, and execute 4 consectuive whirlwind attack using the /\ + O combo. once it escapes from the trap, flash it. Run up into it's crotch and have a hayday with his junk. Once he wakes up, run off, set another pitfall trap, and repeat process until:

A) I run out of pitfall traps, in which case I spam inbetween his legs, taking breaks with flash bombs to sharpen my blades and increase the damage.

B) I run out of pitfall traps, in which case selection A is executed.

Keep in mind that my blades are extremely weak in comparison to other weapons, as well as fairly blunt. As soon as he limps off, I follow him to wherever he decides to go (usually his cave). I rape him there 'till he falls on the ground and starts squirming. He actually tends to do this twice for me due to my lack of attack power. Keep spamming between his legs, and eventually he either is killed or I fly into a wall and lose...

Quite elaborate, but it works for me so far

nah, no point for me, I'll be using Gradios (dual sword) and Diablos spear for my fire elements. I'll be using the poison battle axe (sword n sheild) for poison, and Eager Cleaver and Plesioth Finblade for electricty and water respectively. I don't have any plans for any other weapons outside that other than the trial and rust swords and a few bowguns.

I forgot to mention that I want the glacial spear for an Ice weapon too.

redwing is only 3500z, true dragon's jaw is 50000z and I doubt you have the parts to make it

Rathalos is now my pet, I usually drug myself (demondrug) then take it for a walk whenever I am feeling down.
