haha....cetus....bz's....machine gun...nades....possibly micros...and I'll use le giant missiles.
I THINK we're ready for another no limits......and by no limits, I MEAN NO LIMITS. But I'm sure we'll have to put checks and balances on people who wishes to use Hohoshi and LX anyway...lol. I mean, LX+Hohoshi = game over.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE!
Stage: Vina Parking Grid 1: Raynor Grid 2: FatedCRIMSON
Barda would've wanted to step in and fight this one... Raynor, the boosting-maniac and skillful dodger, against the weight/defense-reduced, little brother of Ancient Red, fought a dramatic battle in the famous battlefield of past tourney winner Barda. With different strategies, both ACs sought to use the terrain to their advantage and run home with the win, but Vina Parking's tricky terrian proved to be upsetting for both competitors, and caused many unexpected things to occur. Right off the bat, Raynor fired two huge bazooka shots at Fated, who got hit badly but continued to boost forward with its stable quad-legs. Raynor quickly began to back up, and began reloading its shells for the next assault. Within seconds, Fated was a few ACs distance from Raynor, and it approached along with the Fairy shots that it fired moments ago, which took Raynor by surprise. Continuing to back up, Raynor backs itself into a wall, and gets struck by a 184rn as well as an 81G shot, which set it on fire. Raynor didn't falter, and quickly responded with two more nade hits. The two then went on a shooting spree for a few seconds, but since Fated's weapons had faster reload times, it was able to deplete Raynor's AP with more speed. Raynor's AP dropped below 2000, while Fated's was a healthy 4000. But then, Fated decided to take cover behind a pillar, or...boosted blindly into one, and stupidly stayed there. Raynor swept down and fired more nade, E2, and napalm blasts at the dumbfounded Fated, who, receiving all the hits, had to stay on its feet to absorb the shock. Fated's AP plunged below 3000, and it finally began to respond by firing a nade back at Raynor. Right after, both AC's decided to strafe toward the same direction, while emptying their ammo at each other, hoping to knock the other our first. Although Raynor was able to fire consistently after a good comeback, Fated's better firing speed allowed it to get more hits on Raynor, and the conclusion was decided by that fact.
Time: 20s Winner: FatedCRIMSON, with 1937 AP left
Stage: Igol Island Grid 1: FatalRadius8 Grid 2: Hayabusa
Weapons arms showdown. An amazing chase to watch. Huge explosions. Storms of bullets.
Hayabusa chasing Radius down. Radius fires huge missiles. Hayabusa dodges one, get hits by the other, taking huge damage. Hayabusa empties spreads of machine gun shells at Radius, but the long range between the two prevented Hayabusa from getting a good hit. Radius fires inside rockets, while Hayabusa fires napalms -- both had great aim. Radius unleashes next set of missiles. Hayabusa dodges all of them, and retaliates at close range. Radius backs up quickly, switching to Hydra2 as main weapon. Hayabusa boosts toward Radius but gets stuck at the wreckage, taking big damage from a storm of Hydra2 shots, but dodges the other 5 locks very well. Ammo running out on both sides. No more ext. missiles for Radius, and inside rockets are gone. Hayabusa continues to chase down Radius while firing with its machine guns. Both had below 2000 AP. Hayabusa fires remaining bullets at Radius, mostly misses. Radius had two huge missiles left, and only those. Both began to dance, trying to evade each others' lock. Hayabusa has a few napalm's left, but does little damage to Radius when the shot connected. Hayabusa has no more attacking capabilities. Time winding down. Radius tries hard to lock. Misses. Tries again. Hayabusa boosts away. Same thing repeats itself over and over again. Radius finally gets to fire. Hayabusa boosts away hard. Missiles chase. Seconds left. Missiles taste the ground. Time up.
Grid 1 Final AP: 819 Grid 2 Final AP: 1973
Hayabusa wins.

Hrm. Seeing as I'm not in the tourney I don't have much to comment . About the no limits... we're going to have to brace ourselves to see a lot of the same ol' stuff (ya know what I mean), if it gets voted in. But, hey... majority wins.

Well, it's just another idea. I would vote for one because I think that the regulars here would feel somewhat obligated to make new designs...
I'm certainly not going to try to submit another revision of Ancient Red...or a tank...or Deadlock...or whatever, because I feel that a redo of an old tourney should open the way to new, more powerful designs. Heh...I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes another gl or bz fest though. But eh, let's wait for O-G to make the thread coughdoitO-Gcoughpleasecough, and then we'll "discuss."
EDIT---> I DO have a neat idea though...the AC Ratings Tourney. I guess....somehow we'll pick out the letter ranks for each of the six categories by which an AC is "graded," and then everyone has to make designs that has the exact same letter "grades" and AC overall rating.

E in ECM, jammers would rule. S in mobility, hover war.

I think my "neat" theme is okay...so I'm going to nominate it. However...I don't know if we should make the grades randomized...or...somehow voted for...or, by some process that we have not come up with yet?

mmm.........it would be NICE to put a little variation in each individual rating....cooling at C would be fun, since we have to say bye bye to ragora...linden....r92....r02....furuna....etc etc.
Then...instead of putting limits on things like firepower directly...we can easily compromise it in another way, and that's to set the mobility at A or B. That will also affect how a person chooses body parts for his/her AC, which means that defense will be heavily affected as well. Defense boost and weapon weight sacrifice? Or, heavy/strong weapons instead of a well-armored build? and on and on....
Anyway, I'm back to school now, and got some homework, so I'll try to wrap up the next two battles quickly so that Dark can do the final match.

Um...okay. I thought I wouldn't get so much hw on the SECOND DAY OF SCHOOL, but I guess I was wrong. I'm in a little bit of a mess already, and I NEED TO FINISH ALL THIS CRAP.
I understand that I've been dragging this thing for a little too long, and I apologize for that. If this gets dragged for too long...people will forget about the existence of this tourney and I'll be to blame. Sigh...hopefully I can get to it tonight.

FINALLY, I GET TO DO BATTLES!
"Now Loading..."
Stage: Poline Range Grid 1: Tamer Grid 2: Conan
Tragedy.
The match started off with Conan nailing Tamer multiple times with Chimera and nade shots. Although Tamer was far away and used the rolling hills and large stones for cover, Conan somehow got most of its shots to connect. Then, from the distance, a 184rn zipped past the land between the two and hit Conan right on the chest, setting it on fire. Conan continued to fire, though, determined to reduce Tamer's AP as much as possible. Tamer's 400+ boost and great AI allowed it to dodge many of Conan's Chimera shots at close range, while it returned the misses with swarms of machine gun shells, E2 bullets, and inside napalms, making Conan's temps skyrocket. Soon enough, Conan began charging, and lost sight of Tamer. From then on, Conan had little choice but to take every bullet Tamer fired, while it crouched in pain, unable to locate Tamer or fire one successful shot. It fate had been decided.
Time: 29s Winner: Tamer, with 5274
Stage: Igol Island Grid 1: FatedCRIMSON Grid 2: NightBlaze
Two close range overheaters fighting to the death. Fated got more landed hits early in the match, with more successful nade shots than Blaze. Having better hops as well, it was able to outmanuever Blaze and catch it off guard within seconds, firing Fairy shots, napalms, E2's, and 81G like there's no tomorrow. However, Blaze showed amazing tracking skills and it picked down Fated with a dual Selena blows. Then, backing up a bit, Blaze strafed with Fated toward the cliff and both fired with equal speed and accuracy. Unfortunately, Blaze started off with much more AP than Fated did, and with the Selena addition, Blaze got the upperhand. Fated still tried its best to overcome its opponents great firepower, but saw that its energy was approaching zero. Moments later, after getting struck by a napalm, it began charging. Holding its breath, Fated managed to outjump the opponent and get behind it, firing with all its might in an attempt to make a comeback. Its efforts well ill-fated, because Blaze used its superb tracking to gun down Fated again, chipping its AP from red numbers to four zeroes.
Time: 24s Winner: NightBlaze, with 3265 AP left.
Congratulations to both Animesou and Rainmaker! -- Dark will be handling the Nightblaze (Grid 1) v. Tamer (Grid 2) battle. Sorry for the delay and thanks for the support.

Ah, okay. Leave it to me. I'll get it done when I'm on tommorow, most likely, but for now... some rest . BTW I thought Tamer was Hayabusa?

FSK! I'm so used to calling it Tamer though. I know Hayabusa was the original form from Gfaqs, but since I haven't seen it in action anywhere...the name Tamer sticks with me more.
Sorry about that, Animesou.
