Ah.... so sorry guys.
I've been out a lot last night and today. I'll probably spend the remainder of this day doing the battle and other stuff.

And so.... here we are at the fated showdown, between two of the most renowned AI architects of their time. RedRain, who has been credited to revolutionizing the game not once, but twice. Animesou, who has started many, many trends with her masterful creations. Tonight, they will face off in a match that's sure to blow you away; reminiscent of the ol' days of Cerberus and Tamer (who could ever forget those battles, when the very core of the Earth would tremble under their might?). Lady and gents, may I present: THE SHOWDOWN OF THE POST-APOCALYPSE Earth... a desolate slag, nearly lifeless for several years after a meteor shower wiped out the continents from existence. Now, there is only a solitary island, all but surrounded by the remaining sea. Welcome to Igol Island. Isolated from everything for decades. Having no real purpose to serve... until now. Here, the last of the world's vegetation grows....
.....But honestly, who really cares about that?
*coughs* Anyway, as I was saying, there is also something else very important on this island. A battle between two legendary beings: the descendants of Cerberus and Tamer, called “Armored Cores”. Here, they will decide the imminent God of NEO-EARTH... and spark the catalyst of rebirth. This skirmish will go down throughout the remains of time, and thus it shall be known as: NightBlaze (RedRain) VERSUS Hayabusa (animesou) A swift shadow moved throughout the island at breakneck speeds. That shadow was NightBlaze, the terror of the night, and it was stalking its unlucky prey. Or so it believed. For unbeknown to it, the other one, named “Hayabusa”, was aware of the presence following it and had also come for the same common purpose. So, they engaged, jumping about at the center of it all.
Nightblaze, a beast camouflaged in black and orange, let out an eerie roar as it charred the opponent with a brilliant heat blast. Again and again, it continued the assault; every attack more powerful than the last. But Hayabusa knew better. It was dexterous rather than destructive; prepared for such an AI.
With agility to rival that of a ninja, Hayabusa boosted in for the kill, dancing over dangerous explosives along the way. The suddenness of the move was enough for it to get face to face with NightBlaze, slamming it back with a hardcore MG barrage.
“Grid 2 takes heavy damage.”
Despite an impressive showing, Grid 2 was still a ways behind Grid 1. That, however, was exactly what it was trying to change. NightBlaze rotated around for a counter attack, but failed to keep up at the current speed. Hayabusa, aka the gull2 wonder, hopped around happily avoiding attacks until it decided to get serious.
That's when they got into close quarters. Hayabusa again tried the head on machine gun barrage but was met with a flurry of EO, grenade, and shotgun attacks. The opponent apparently had learned the perfect counterattack.
Nonetheless, Mr.gull2 refused to let up; revealing that the initial attack was but a trifle tactic. It swept out of the way, behind the opponent; scorching it with an inside napalm and continuing the near-ominpotent combo of MG and EO. At that point, it was made clear who was bossing around who.
Both danced around the island like wild natives would, looking as though they were chanting for something; but in reality they couldn't seem to locate each other. Eventually, though, they did come in contact. NightBlaze then took the liberty of shooting the opponent down with gi-normous energy beams. Hayabusa didn't do much to counter. Instead, it took a spot near the side; as if waiting for some opportune moment to counter.
That moment came... in spades.
NightBlaze bolted forth like a tiger lunging to it's pray; then Hayabusa quickly turned around. It forced it's foe into the dance of death once more; only this time it was prepared. Just as the music ended, Nightblaze got a single shot in but the magenta wonder proved tougher than that, determined to carry out the “plan”. It dived to close quarters just as Nightblaze was recovering, shocking it, and then proceeding to spray the living heck out of it with a hail of machine gun bullets.
The total armor points were much closer now, at this point of the game. In desperation, the two last beings on Earth struggled to match each others attacks. They succeeded to a tee. But it was painfully clear that one had to be on the losing end sooner or later.
NightBlaze had the advantage due to the almightly flames of “CR-WR81G”. But machine gun arms were as unpredictable as they sounded. The finishing tactic was brilliant.
NightBlaze had the lead by about an inch, in terms of AP. But the reversal came all thanks to a certain weapon:
Inside napalms.
One blast was enough to stop it for just a mere moment... enough for Hayabusa to continue the unrelenting storm and snatch back what it rightfully deserved. The title of God.
Finally, the match had ended. NightBlaze sunk down, exploding and looking dejected; but the shell of it seemed to accept fate in a different manner. Bowing down to the God of NEO-EARTH. Length: 1m11s Grid 1 Final AP: 0 Grid 2 Final AP: 594 Winner: Hayabusa We have an official champ for the FIREPOWER LIMIT TOURNEY: CONGRATULATIONS ANIMESOU AND HAYABUSA. Once again, Hayabusa/ Tamer has reigned supreme; and in it's MG form no less. It just goes to show that old favorites can still have a flare. NightBlaze performed extremely well too. But, in the end, it just didn't stack up. Another time, RedRain? Any comments/congratulations to the final two can and should be posted here .

OH
MY
GOODNESS.
I swear, the battle looked bleak for Hayabusa early on...but it made a valiant comeback and what an awesome display of versatility, skill, and sheer power from both ACs. I have to say that RedRain's NightBlaze is certainly a tough opponent to deal with, but I guess Hayabusa won with its speed and well-programmed tactics. Congrats, animesou.
Dark, GREAT WORK with the description. I wish every novel I had to read for school resembles the battle caps you write here. Excellent work, and thanks again for helping me wrap things up for the tourney for bigger and better things to come.

Yeah, I thought it might lose too. But the reversal it pulled off in the end was simply amazing.
Thanks for the compliment. It took awhile...

I REALLY THINK that it's about time we create some sticky thread that lists all the tourneys and their winners before we forget any...JUST to make sure everyone gets recognized for accomplishing every feat they have.

Well, that's kinda what we did with the hall of fame. But Laeq deemed it a failure (and it was my idea lol).
I suppose we could resurrect it in an improved form/name.

lol...well, although it seems to be that way, I used to look at it from time to time and I get that "wow, we've been competing for so long and it's been great"-type feeling. It may only be that way for me because I've won some matches before, but I think it does serve as a reminder that we have quite a history.
